Halloween 2022 Countdown!

Ok. Got this in the right place now. Lol. I ended up posting this in the bers thread by mistake.

I ended up watching werewolf by night yesterday which is a marvel show on disney plus. I enjoyed it. It is mostly done in black and white and it goes for the 40s and 50s horror genre. Anyone who likes the old classic horror movies may enjoy this and want to give it a try. It was nothing to scary but there was some mild violence fyi.

I am going to watch this. I don't like modern horror movies at all, but the old classics, ahh, that is another matter.

DAYS TO HALLOWEEN : 22

Good Morning Halloween Friends! Another chilly start to the day. 26 degrees outside right now. I'm bagging up the grass clippings in the front and back yard, and will probably wear a sweatshirt while doing it. Whenever I'm working outside in a sweatshirt or jacket, I get very late fall vibes, I still think this has been a pretty cold October. Even running the pellet stove now at night, that's something that doesn't happen normally until around the very end of the month, early November.

Another edition of my very own "Dark Arts Sunday" this afternoon because I don't believe SyFy is doing the marathons anymore. First year in a long time. I wonder who has the rights to wizarding world now?

We ended up watching Signs last night. A little tame for a Halloween movie, but our 13-year old watched it with us. It was her first real "scary" movie to see. She enjoyed it but said she wouldn't be watching it by herself anytime in the near future.

We'll probably watch The Nightmare Before Christmas today.

We have tentative plans to have the Great Pumpkin Hunt next weekend, right now we are thinking Sunday, late morning! I don't want to be greedy because we have been having so many gorgeous days, but I would love to finally have a warm, sunny day for the hunt.
 
Went past a house after church today that had so many Halloween decorations. I had never seen Audrey from "The Little Shop of Horrors." They had two. They also had a scene of haunted king, queen and guards. It was so fun, we had to pull over and stare just to take it all in.

Good Morning Halloween Friends! A chilly October morning greets us this morning. We're just three weeks exactly now from Halloween. Our day is coming up, and I think it is coming faster than anyone wants. Let's enjoy this time! Let's enjoy the weather and the scenery because it goes by fast!

As previously mentioned, tomorrow is "The Day". I will need a countdown volunteer tomorrow. I have to be at the hospital tomorrow at 10:00 AM, and we go from there. I'll probably be back to posting by Wednesday, I will reach out if that doesn't end up being the case.

I gotcha covered tomorrow, buddy. And for however long you need after that. The birth of a child is one of the most exciting events of your whole life, but it is also draining. You and Holly both will need sleep and rest by the time it's all over. Heck, BEFORE it's all over.

We bought our "pumpkin eggs" last week, but I'm not sure we have nailed down a firm date for it yet. It definitely won't be on Halloween night. More to come...stay tuned...

I am SO excited for you. The most wonderful change in the world is about to hit you and Holly.
 
Nailed down a bunch more Halloween activities the last few days. My son and his wife gave me tickets for my birthday to see a play that is a comedic version of Dracula. We set up our annual Halloween cookie baking bash for the Saturday before Halloween and then the day before Halloween, we will have our annual spooky food family dinner. Time to get out the recipe books and figure out what I am going to make. I always do a guacamole dip with a sour cream web and black and orange chips and my youngest daughter always makes monster toes (little smokies with a piece of tortilla wrapped around one end and the other end cut a little with ketchup where the toe nail should be), but other than that I don't know what I will do. Everyone is free to choose what they want to bring, they just have to make it scary-related. Our church trunk or treat is the 25th. So fun!

Good morning, fellow spooks! How are you settling in to October so far? We are unfortunately heating up again here weather-wise, but supposedly beginning next Monday there is a front coming that will give us a little relief. I'm hoping that the weather will cooperate and that it will feel much more like Fall outside by the time we get to Halloween.

And speaking of the main event, today's count finds us just under three weeks away at 20 days left!

Hope you're enjoying your scary movies and Halloween music while you can this month! Keep our fearless leader Snake in your thoughts and prayers today and he as his wife witness one of the greatest miracles that life has to offer!

I cannot believe there are only 20 days left until Halloween. Wow, just wow. We hit 80 degrees yesterday but because there was a cool breeze and it was cool at night, it didn't feel that warm. We are in the 70s for highs for the next few days. When I woke up this morning is was 48 degrees so it was just perfect, and a little bit hard to crawl out of bed. I just want to ride around and look at Halloween decorations. Does that mean I am a Halloween addict?

After 10 gorgeous days in a row, October had to finally give a preview of what is coming. Damp and chilly describe today and more of the same tomorrow, then a few nice days until the same returns on Sunday
