Thanksgiving is probably the most "laid back" holiday in terms of preparation...unless you are the one hosting and/or cooking all of the food! Then I imagine Thanksgiving week could be a bit hectic.

Same here, I keep Fall stuff up throughout September-November, I put Halloween up end of Sept/early October and take it down the weekend after Halloween and put of Thanksgiving decor that same weekend.I am another outlier here, I do decorate for Thanksgiving. I leave my autumn stuff up and add Halloween, take Halloween down and put up Thanksgiving.
Unless you have several helpers!Thanksgiving is probably the most "laid back" holiday in terms of preparation...unless you are the one hosting and/or cooking all of the food! Then I imagine Thanksgiving week could be a bit hectic.
That's awesome!I am another outlier here, I do decorate for Thanksgiving. I leave my autumn stuff up and add Halloween, take Halloween down and put up Thanksgiving.
I have this tradition, I try to make this beautiful Thanksgiving table, and it looks so nice. Then we start bringing out food and we have to move the decor to have room for it. It never changes, I do the same thing every year. I never learn, but I guess hope springs eternal!Same here, I keep Fall stuff up throughout September-November, I put Halloween up end of Sept/early October and take it down the weekend after Halloween and put of Thanksgiving decor that same weekend.
This year I hope to be setting a more formal tablescape so that may be the headline for my T-giving prep!

Tomorrow is halfway from Labor Day to Thanksgiving.Being off work all this week has really had me thinking about Thanksgiving week. I can't wait for that to come around.
Wow!My sister sent me pictures last night of a pamphlet she picked up at a local grocery store that offers Thanksgiving meals. They don't have it posted on their website yet, but this is a sure sign of Thanksgiving, and even though I plan on cooking my own Thursday meal this year, I still like to see the offerings! Turkey meals have jumped up, but the ham dinner is still the same as last year's prices. I don't think the pics will be easy to read but I just to have to share!

Hope so!The recent cold/rain snap we have been experiencing here has had me hoping that Halloween and Thanksgiving can be clear and dry, or at least one of them.
I'm really curious how the weather will turn out for Thanksgiving this year.I'm hoping for some dry weather over the next few weeks! I want to get my driveway sealed before winter. I have all of the supplies, it's just finding a day where it is good and dry for 24 hours, and above 55 degrees for at least half of the day. Right now that is looking like it's going to be either next Saturday or Sunday. We should have days like that at least in the mid 50's for a couple of more weeks. If we don't get nice dry / warmish weather before November, I am going to have to wait until Spring. I sealed it in 2020 and I believe it was either at the very end of September or the beginning of October.
I don't really want to do any outside projects like that in November. November it gets cold here and it's time to think turkey thoughts and do fun things like hang up Christmas lights and decorate.
Have a great day!
Our "forecast" is for a wet and cold winter, but not as wet or cold as last year, so that is a good thing. The recent cold/rain snap we have been experiencing here has had me hoping that Halloween and Thanksgiving can be clear and dry, or at least one of them.
