Why did I think that Spooky Season (in this thread) started tomorrow? Did we ever start it on September 12th in the past? For some reason that date is lodged in my head.

I think one year we started it early, but I can't remember why. I THINK it's always been the 1st day of Autumn, am I losing my mind?

I've just used Autumn as the 1st day of Spooky Season since doing the thread, I think. But like everything else, this could be a group decision. Do you want to wait until next year to "decide" on the start date of Spooky Season? Or is there another date anyone would rather use "now" before it actually starts this year?

I like the idea of having a committee on this kind of stuff, some of this stuff we could even decide in the "offseason" if we have to.

Let me know. Group, please let me know.

Nope, you’re definitely correct. As we’d probably say in high school, “I’m tripping.” It has been the first day of autumn in the past. I don’t know where my brain pulled September 12th from, but I might be slowly losing my mind. I am totally good with keeping the start date as-is. No need to bump it up thanks to my horrible short-term memory loss.

Good Morning Pumpkin People! Happy Saturday to you all. It's a big weekend here. We're about to see SINGLE DIGITS in the countdown to the official start of Spooky Season, and now we are obviously under 50 days to our ultimate destination in this thread, Halloween.

We've started planning some outside activities for next month, and we definitely want to get the kids to the pumpkin patch. It looks like we have some cooler days coming up. I don't see any more 90's in the forecast fortunately. The hottest day coming up is this coming Friday, where it is supposed to get to 86 degrees. We're almost out of the drought too, our last check showed us only about 1.5 inches down from a "normal" year here.

Halloween Friends, I hope you are well on this Saturday! Have a great day!

About the same. We have an 83 today and an 84 on Tuesday. After that we it starts to cool a bit. Now I'm looking for a good near-future bonfire evening.

Good Morning Pumpkin People! Happy Sunday to you all!

This Morning we have broken into SINGLE DIGITS on our way to Spooky Season! In other news, we are going to reach 100 DAYS TO CHRISTMAS this coming Wednesday. Everyone reading this thread knows what happens to a count once it gets under 100 days!

I finally went to Bath and Body Works yesterday. In all honesty, I think Halloween was kind of "meh" this year with their offerings. I'll go back again in October to see if anything changes, but I was surprised that it was just a small Halloween display and not what I am used to in past years.

I picked up a few wallflowers, which for the Halloween scents, the little bottles are in the shapes of skulls, which is an awesome touch, and I plan on saving the bottles when they are empty to fill back with colored sand that mimic the colors of the liquid, so I can put them on my "all year bers" shelf. Vampire Blood is my favorite scent, but this year, "Carnival Fog" is my favorite of the new offerings.

I hope everyone has a great Sunday!

Hello Halloween Fans! I hope you are doing well. It's a rainy Sunday morning here. I'm revamping my routine a little by doing a few indoor things I normally get done first and then going out second since the heavy rain should at least taper off to showers. The Sunday Group is heading to the city. Happy Halloween!

I also went into a Bath and Body recently. I think the problem is that they have sold most of their Halloween stuff and aren't restocking it. I was stunned how little inventory they had compared to a month ago. I won't even get into how their Nightmare Before Christmas lineup sold out in one day. Except for Sally-related items. Poor Sally. I was getting the sense (scents?) they were winding down Halloween and didn't want to have too much Halloween inventory in the way of their their latest Xmas smellies.
