Why did I think that Spooky Season (in this thread) started tomorrow? Did we ever start it on September 12th in the past? For some reason that date is lodged in my head.

I think one year we started it early, but I can't remember why. I THINK it's always been the 1st day of Autumn, am I losing my mind?

I've just used Autumn as the 1st day of Spooky Season since doing the thread, I think. But like everything else, this could be a group decision. Do you want to wait until next year to "decide" on the start date of Spooky Season? Or is there another date anyone would rather use "now" before it actually starts this year?

I like the idea of having a committee on this kind of stuff, some of this stuff we could even decide in the "offseason" if we have to.

Let me know. Group, please let me know.

Nope, you’re definitely correct. As we’d probably say in high school, “I’m tripping.” It has been the first day of autumn in the past. I don’t know where my brain pulled September 12th from, but I might be slowly losing my mind. I am totally good with keeping the start date as-is. No need to bump it up thanks to my horrible short-term memory loss.

Good Morning Pumpkin People! Happy Saturday to you all. It's a big weekend here. We're about to see SINGLE DIGITS in the countdown to the official start of Spooky Season, and now we are obviously under 50 days to our ultimate destination in this thread, Halloween.

We've started planning some outside activities for next month, and we definitely want to get the kids to the pumpkin patch. It looks like we have some cooler days coming up. I don't see any more 90's in the forecast fortunately. The hottest day coming up is this coming Friday, where it is supposed to get to 86 degrees. We're almost out of the drought too, our last check showed us only about 1.5 inches down from a "normal" year here.

Halloween Friends, I hope you are well on this Saturday! Have a great day!

About the same. We have an 83 today and an 84 on Tuesday. After that we it starts to cool a bit. Now I'm looking for a good near-future bonfire evening.

Hello Halloween Fans! I hope you are well. It's a gorgeous Saturday here. Lots of sun and comfortable warm temperatures. But we woke up to comfortable cool temperatures. That's the best of both worlds. Happy Halloween!

Good Morning Pumpkin People! Happy Sunday to you all!

This Morning we have broken into SINGLE DIGITS on our way to Spooky Season! In other news, we are going to reach 100 DAYS TO CHRISTMAS this coming Wednesday. Everyone reading this thread knows what happens to a count once it gets under 100 days!

I finally went to Bath and Body Works yesterday. In all honesty, I think Halloween was kind of "meh" this year with their offerings. I'll go back again in October to see if anything changes, but I was surprised that it was just a small Halloween display and not what I am used to in past years.

I picked up a few wallflowers, which for the Halloween scents, the little bottles are in the shapes of skulls, which is an awesome touch, and I plan on saving the bottles when they are empty to fill back with colored sand that mimic the colors of the liquid, so I can put them on my "all year bers" shelf. Vampire Blood is my favorite scent, but this year, "Carnival Fog" is my favorite of the new offerings.

I hope everyone has a great Sunday!

Hello Halloween Fans! I hope you are doing well. It's a rainy Sunday morning here. I'm revamping my routine a little by doing a few indoor things I normally get done first and then going out second since the heavy rain should at least taper off to showers. The Sunday Group is heading to the city. Happy Halloween!

I also went into a Bath and Body recently. I think the problem is that they have sold most of their Halloween stuff and aren't restocking it. I was stunned how little inventory they had compared to a month ago. I won't even get into how their Nightmare Before Christmas lineup sold out in one day. Except for Sally-related items. Poor Sally. I was getting the sense (scents?) they were winding down Halloween and didn't want to have too much Halloween inventory in the way of their their latest Xmas smellies.

Good evening Halloween Fans!

Well, I got the Halloween lights on the bushes this evening and my wife put out the Sandworm. I need to pick up another 4 strands of lights to complete the bushes, but they look nice as is right now. We have plenty more to do outside, so this was just the start. Glad to get some done.

We still have one room inside the house to finish up, but other than that we are good to go inside now.

I know I had an "off year" slightly because of more surgery worries, aftermath, etc., but how early did the stuff sell out you think? Last year our Bath & Body works put out their Halloween by September. I wonder if I should have been "stalking" the store back in August. This is going to be something that I'm going to remember for post-Halloween planning as we start looking at the 2027 year. I've nailed down Hobby Lobby, largely, after almost a decade of "Christmas Hunting". I need to take the time to do the B&BW research and figure out when prime "pumpkin hunting" at B&BW would be.

Good Morning Halloween Friends! It's a new work week here, and we will see the HALF-WAY point to the month TOMORROW! Unreal!

Spooky Season is in our sights now, and tomorrow will mark only one week until its official arrival.

I'm still trying to keep the October, and "Days to Halloween" count in front of me as long as possible. I don't want to think already about "next year", but in truth a couple of things have came up and I have spent a little bit of time thinking about things for 2027. Not too much, just a little. Speaking of that:

I've known the "milestone" has been coming up now for a few days, and thought it would be fun to share. In all honestly I really was thinking about Spooky Spring the other day. I think it's kind of hard to "bottle" up some thoughts so one of the things I'm going to try and do a better job of is just deal with things as they happen instead of just letting lay on my mind all the time. I will have lots of time to plan stuff for next year when I'm in the "Halloween Off-Season", but one thing I won't do, is let it take away any serious time from Christmas Season 2026.

Pumpkin Friends I hope you are well! Have a great day!

Dang! 200 Day countdown out of nowhere. Love it! I've already set aside some items for "Halfoween" so I appreciate this post. The other nice thing is that number plummets to 90 as of January 1st.

As for Bath and Body....I now remember buying Halloween/fall candles there as far back as July 25th when they had their big sale on three-wick. That's when I got my Carnival Fog and a couple others. I'd suggest getting on their email list in July to be notified.

Still no Joffrey’s Not-So-Scary Pumpkin blend at any of the stores around here. I might have to do some driving to find it.

In the meanwhile, this is an awesome substitute:

Summer Moon is fairly prevalent down here, even though the one closest to me is about two hours away. Still, I’d drive that far for this coffee.

This is another really good one, even though it’s been a couple of years since I’ve ordered it:

200 days until Spooky Spring?! Oh my. That wasn’t even on my radar, but somehow I’m excited even though we haven’t even lived through Halloween yet. Spooky Spring is always my first ray of hope during the new year.

Enjoying my Mystic Monk Pumpkin Spice coffee right now. It’s particularly delicious this year. I need to order more, but I’m waiting for the Thanksgiving blend to be available so I can order them together.

The monks roast my favorite coffee beans! (Although I am open to trying something new if anyone has suggestions!)

Hello Halloween Fans! I hope you are doing well. It's a beautiful day here. Just gorgeous and temps will be a little cooler today. Making it feel like early autumn which it technically isn't for at least another week now. Happy Halloween!

I think you’ve solidified my decision to order some more coffee this year. Do I need more? Probably not, but I remember Mystic Monk being great. I’m not sure how they ever fell out of my purview. Probably around the time I bought my Nespresso (which is also fantastic). So much coffee, so little time.

Good Morning Pumpkin People! It's gotta be said. ONE WEEK from today we will be officially in Spooky Season 2026. It's 52 degrees outside and is the coolest morning we have had here in a while, maybe since Spooky Spring.

My short week continues at work, at some point today I'm going to look up and realize that tomorrow is Wednesday. It's the best feeling.

And today we are officially HALF WAY through the month of September. I don't even want to hardly mention it. I think THE BERS have been moving at a fair and steady pace. Not too fast, but not as slow as I would like.

I hope everyone has a great Tuesday!
