The 'bers are here, the 'bers are here!!!

Happy 'Bers day everyone. I'm celebrating today's bench mark day by having my first cup of coffee for the season (haven't had coffee since April) and a pumpkin cream cheese muffin from Starbucks.

I do hope that everyone stops to have a mini celebration in honor of these glorious months ahead of us and remember why it is we love this time of year so much. Enjoy everybody!!!

Howdy all! It has been busy getting back into the school year. Yesterday was Nathan's 16th birthday! His birthday was filled with an orthodontist appointment and an evening class at the the local community college.

I am glad it is the last day of August. Time to look towards cooler weather and the best time of the year! Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas here we come!!

Nice to see you ITP! Happy Birthday to Nathan! Hope he found some time to celebrate!

I am so excited for tonight. Football is on the radio, it's Pines Night and the LAST night of August! We've made it to the first major "milestone" that sends off fireworks in my mind and heart-we're getting closer!! I cannot wait to enjoy the fall season with you all and the countdown! Hope everyone had a great day today. Things were a bit all over the place at work but I dealt with it well and feel good! Ready to get a good night's rest...Sleep Tight, MMC, to wake up in SEPTEMBER!

Wow....I can't believe it. We are 3 hours away from the start of the 'Bers. Friends, our favorite time of the year is here. Tomorrow, we are going to have cooler weather (high 82) with very little humidity. It will be that way for the next few days. I made a bold prediction today at work...that it was the last hot day of the year. I so hope I am right. I'm ready for the leaves to turn, for a nice fall breeze, pumpkin EVERYTHING, and a bonfire on the weekend. Man, I'm so happy we are back where the world gets right.

Gotta love a good bonfire! Have a fabulous day & a fabulous season!

Happy Pines Day!! My kids went back to school today and my oldest is starting high school so I hope everything is going well. They only have classes for 10 mins each and then they do a huge celebration welcoming the freshman. They have waterslides, food trucks and a bunch of games so it should be fun!
Just working today and my husband is making me stuffed shrimp tonight for my b-day dinner. He is an awesome cook so I am looking forward to that! Hope you all have a wonderful day!

Happy 'Bers Holiday! I know you love summer like I do but you can't help but smile that it's September 1.

Good evening,

I log on tonight and I am 450+ posts behind, you all have been quite chatty the last couple days.
We are about an hour and a half ftom the 'Bers the month that brings us cooler temps, apple picking, and all things pumpkin flavored. I consider myself a pumpkin wallflower, I really dislike pumpkin, but it is part of the culmination of seasons so bring it in.
I had a day off today, needed after a late night. I didn't do much, just went to a movie by my lonesome. I went and saw Sausage Party, it was quite funny but incredibly crude. A mother with her preteen kids walked out about ten minutes in, they have been saying since it was first coming out it was not for kids. Some people just don't pay attention to ratings.
Back to work in the morning, time to get prepared for what is sure to be a busy Labor Day weekend.

Just got word our neighbor lady at the lake passed away this morning! #@&^ cancer! Her significant other has had a trailer close to us for years. They started dating probably close to 10 years ago. He left a message on my phone this morning wanting me to let everyone know. He was so upset. The poor guy! Hate it!

Holiday that is such sad news. Cancer is a terrible disease (I lost my mom to cancer when I was little). Sending warm thoughts to her family and to you as well.
