Yeah I'm always amazed when the 4th passes and there is like a 2 month holiday drought until Labor Day. I have to say I love Labor Day weekend. It rings in the Fall and September and then we are basically in for nothing, but a great 4 final months of the year leading up to Christmas! Hope you all had a great 4th yesterday!Happy 4th of July MMC! We made it to another major holiday! And believe it or not this is the LAST holiday until the Bers. Let that sink in. Scary stuff I tell you. We will have our BBQ later today and then go see the fireworks in town. We've had a lot of fun with my brother being here. It's definitely busy/hectic but fun. And just is fun to think about the next time he comes will be about a week before Christmas. Have a great day!
It's going seriously like a blur this year. I really feel like we were just in winter and somehow spring came and went as if it was 1 month long.I hope everyone had a great 4th! A coworker used to tell me after the 4th the summer is "over" because it flies by so quickly. I've got two weeks of vacation coming up and then it'll practically be August! The first of the longer named months. I don't wish away summer at all! Savoring every minute! But isn't it amazing how quickly time passes and we're so soon already going to be turning thoughts to back to school and fall?
Thanks Crown!! Looks like we have another few days of rain here ourselves.Good Morning, Folks!
Really moving in now on our next scheduled Milestone marker.
Days to the Season: 130
Days to Christmas Day: 172
ONE WEEK FROM TOMORROW.
That is when we will arrive at the 2/3 point to Christmas Season 2017 and enter the final third of our trip.
(Yes, you read that right -- the FINAL third!)
No more rain yesterday, but it was quite warm and humid.
You know. The kind of day when you say to yourself, "I think I'll mow the lawn tomorrow".
Today, we commence things here in the capital city and county at 73 degrees, with a 30 percent chance of rain.
Have a Thrilling Thursday, Everyone.
And yes, it WILL be Weekend Eve once again tomorrow!
Woe....I don't need 90!!Between holiday wanting 90 degrees and you wanting a blizzard...can we just find some common middle ground and enjoy Autumn when it comes?![]()
LOVE IT! Great pics! Thanks for sharing!!The 4th of July Parade in the Lakewood neighborhood of Dallas was a huge success! Many were surprised to see Santa in the parade. It was funny to see the children and some adults very excited to see Santa and the other adults confused. You can tell who the real believers are. Lots of "Happy 4th, Santa!" and "Merry Christmas in July, Santa!" from the believers.

My coworker says that every year too - and though we know it's not true, it sure does fly by - poof, it's labor day!! Happens every year!I hope everyone had a great 4th! Glad to hear the 1st day went pretty well!!Good evening...
Today was my first official day on the new job. Felt really weird...but the school didn't blow up and we didn't get shut down....so the first day was a success!
The 4th was great! We just were really low key.....it was perfect.
Today was my first day since last Thursday and tomorrow is my last day to work this week...I could get used to this!
I could work 2 1/2 days every week - as long as it didn't affect my paycheck. Ha ha!Morning MMC! Happy Thursday aka Friday Eve already. These work weeks being broken up make them seem shorter. I've got a lot to do today and tomorrow at work. Starting to think about the weekend a bit. The humidity is going to increase here. Friday night we may go to the park for more fireworks. They do them every Friday at the amusement park in July and August. Have a great day today!
Thanks Crown! Hope you are enjoying your post 4th week!Good Morning, Folks!

Good morning Martine! Enjoy your weekend off - it's always nice to have vacation to look forward too! Have a great day!Good Thursday morning! It's going to be a hot and humid day, with more to come over the next few days. I'm looking forward to having the weekend off and then one more work week before I'm on vacation. It's a relaxing morning as I am working the afternoon/evening shift today. Hope everyone will have a great day ahead!
Good morning HMG! I hope your hubby is enjoying his week off! Hope you find a nice gift for your daughter! Have a great day!Good morning ~
I don't know why I thought today was Friday. My husband is on vacation this week. My schedule has been, I guess that's why I don't know what day it is. Not too much going on here, it's going to be cloudy with highs near 75 degrees. My daughter has a birthday coming up so I'm going to do some shopping for her later this afternoon. Just having my coffee and working on the laundry right now. I hope everyone is well and has a wonderful day!
