Hi all! I've been MIA the past week.. we're still staying at my sister's and her computer had to be repaired. Ours is in storage so I was computerless! ACK!

We are roasting over here.. 100 degrees today!!!! And my son and I both have nasty colds - what luck! 7 weeks before my due date and in the worst heat wave in 10 years, lol!

Anyway, I've been thinking about you all often... Hallmark is putting out their ornaments this weekend and I am so excited!!!! And we moved settlement up so we move back into our own house for the first time in 4 months very soon, woo hoo!!!!

I think we swapped weather with you all. Our temps are going to be mild for the next few days or longer. Those 100 degree temps are normal for us here this time of year. I am glad we are getting a break. Keep cool!

I will be there this weekend at Hallmark. Yay!

I am off to a slow start this morning. I don't have anything to do today though so that is okay. It is going to be another hot one here with a high of 94 but the humidty is not supposed to be as bad today. Mom was hurting pretty bad when she got home from yesterday but she was doing okay this morning before she left to go in today. I hope everyone stays safe in all of this heat and has a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I don't get it. You go on vacation to get some rest and a break from it all but tend to come back EXHAUSTED! I am so tired today and slept quite a bit last night along with a nap yesterday. It's worth it though and will not ever pass up a vacation. I should feel better tomorrow. cheesy

I've been on vacation since June 25th and it was a BLAST! There's too much to go into, but we had a great time. And I got to spend the night at the Inn at Christmas Place. It was more beautiful than I would have ever expected. I'll upload some pix soon.

I've been reading some of the earlier posts trying to catch up, but it's going to take a while.

I've missed all of you terribly. I'm going to have to look for a laptop before my next trip.

Good Morning everyone! Had a great time yesterday. This morning I am catching up on here and listening to My Merry Christmas Radio. Some really Christmas Music being played this morning.....

Well we leave Fridayfor our vacation. Once we get back I will be full planning mode for our son's b-day party and cook out next month, will start the back to school shopping (it's easier on the budget if I spread this out) and pick back up on my christmas shopping!

You have some really good ideas...you sound like me, I try to spread everything out so I dont have to spend it all at once or charge anything..I hate charing things, I would rather just pay for it and get it out of the way!

Good morning everyone !!! I am taking my first break today and thought I would say hello. It is already very warm here in my state of Ohio, good thing the air is working !! I can't believe it !! Next weekend is the Hallmark Ornament premiere !!! My sister and I are planning on going. I am really excited. I can't wait to put up my tree this year more so than other years !!

I wish everyone a great Monday and just remember only 5 months til Santa comes !!!!

It finally stopped raining here in Western Wisconsin. But it makes me wonder...if it was 25 degrees instead of 80 degrees, how much snow would we have? Probably well over a foot. I could use a good crippling snow storm this time of year.

It is very hot and humid in Mid-Michigan. My fridge has been running a lot and there was a puddle of water under the freezer door. I think it is okay, but I keep wanting to open it up to see if every thing is still frozen.

It looks like it is going to be a warm week for almost all of us. It is already 85 here on its way to 94 this afternoon. I guess if I want cooler weather I will have to go visit my sister who lives north of seattle. They had to wear coats to the 4th of July parade yesterday because it was so chilly out.

Gosh they are so lucky. I could really go for a nice Fall day! Its was over 100 yesterday, 101 today and suppose to be that hot again tomorrow! UGH

I MISS YOU ALL!

We just returned from our train trip to Chicago. We were on the train last night coming home and it was really nice laying in our bed in the bedroom on the train watching fireworks as we passed by each town. Last night was the best sleep I have had on this vacation with the rocking of the train and the distant sound of the train horn. Then at 6:00 am I wake up to a lady in the hallway talking real loud to someone saying, "I didn't sleep at all last night." I jumped up out of a dead sleep and wanting to say, "thanks for waking me up!" Lol! I know she didn't mean to wake me up though. I ran into her later and she seemed like a nice lady. It was her first train trip and I am sure she didn't give it a thought that others may be sleeping. We had a fantastic time and got to go up the Willis (Sears) Tower. We met a nice couple in the dining car this morning at breakfast and somehow got in a conversation with the wife about Christmas. She said she LOVES Christmas. Great company! cheesy

It will take me awhile to catch up on all the threads. I have 593 new unread post!

I hope everyone had a great 4th of July and welcome back to those who have returned on their trips.

WOW!! Was it hot today 99 degrees, it is going to be hotter tomorrow with a lot more humidity. We were at the parade and walking the booths for more than 3 hours in the heat, but went home to the AC that was the best part of the day right there. Driving into Boston to pick up my sister tomorrow morning will be on the road for close to 4 hours round trip. It will be nice to see her it has been nearly a year since we saw her last.
I hope everyone had a great weekend and a great start of the week.

Hard to imagine a white Christmas in the middle of a heat wave! :
34c (94f) again today with a humidex making it feel like 45c (113f). I have to work this morning in a place where there is no air conditioner, so going in early and hoping to get done by lunch time.

Coming here helps to keep me cool!

I feel so wiped out from our trip we had that I took a 2 hour nap yesterday then slept almost 10 hours last night. I could have slept longer but my dogs decided I need to get up. cheesy One of them just wanted me to get up and play and the other needed to go outside. I think I could have slept longer but I do need to wake up anyway and get ready for the grandkids to come over.

One of my dogs gets so sad when I am gone that he refuses to eat. He finally gave in on the 3rd day we were gone and ate. I feel sad when he does that but he is happy now that I am home!
