I've got to wake up the family soon, our church starts at 9:30 am. That's earlier than the normal 11:00, but we share a preacher with another small church, so he leaves our church at 10:30 and goes to the other one. While he's at ours, they have Sunday School, and after he leaves ours, we have Sunday School. We're still at the restaurant before anyone else!
!
Enjoy your day!
They still black out the race here locally so I will be listening to it on the radio and I will probally watch some of it online if I get a chance. Then this evening I will be kicking back and watching the nascar race. I hope everyone has a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!
I cannot believe they blackout a big race like that! I never got into watching it but what a bummer for big race fans. Good thing you can watch it on the internet.

Good Morning everyone....the kids are up and playing already, got a pot of coffee brewing and going to make breakfest soon. The kids are asking for chocolate chip pancakes.
Now those pancakes sound yummy for dessert but no way I could eat something that sweet for breakfast. I think I am the only person that cannot handle certain breakfast foods, at breakfast time, like donuts, pancakes, waffles, sweet cereals, etc. After I eat something like that in the morning, I feel as though I just ate a candy bar and then I don't feel well the rest of the day. I can only handle it later in the day as a dessert. Kids always love that stuff in the morning, or anytime! cheesy

Busy day for us. Church this morning then I am off to work.

I hope you all have a great day today!

Watched " Pirate Radio" last night- what a GREAT soundtrack.... ahhh the 60s....

Hope everyone has a nioce day today!

If I was there, I'd be asking for chocolate chip pancakes, too! Sounds awesome!

Good evening all!

Just sitting here watching the Stanley Cup Final, all tied up at 5 at the end of 2 periods. I am rooting for the Chicago Blackhawks for 2 reasons, I went to Chicago last June, and I hate the Philadelphia Flyers. I am more excited for the NHL draft though where my Bruins will pick either Taylor Hall or Tyler Seguin but thats later in June.

What a game last night! Great to see the Blackhawks take the first one. My mom has been a diehard Blackhawks fan her entire life. Naturally, I am pulling for the Hawks as well. She deserves to see them win in colour. She has vivid memories of them winning their last Cup, but she was only four at the time. As for the Bruins, I am hopeful that they get Taylor Hall. He's more of the prolific scorer that they need. Seguin has a great all-around game, but I think Hall will fit best into their system immediately.

I used to always request blueberry pancakes! Chocolate chip is good, but no blueberry!

Good Afternoon MMC !

How is everyone on the gloriously hot and sunny day? (30C here)

I am busy checking out and catching up here. Also getting ready to make a box out of sugar for the top of a cake to be delivered on Friday. (it will be a gift box with a pair of roller skates in it)

Then for supper I get to go to a thankquet. This is put on every year by our church to just say thank you to all the folks who volunteer their time to make things run smoothly. There is even supposed to be some kind of entertainment. (a surprise, so I will have to tell you after I find out what it is)

:hello: Nice weather we're having. Still can't have campfires though. It's been too dry and they're worried about fires.

Mr. O'Malley is purrfect as usual, I added a few new pics of him the last time I stopped by.

:rudolph:Gonna pop a Christmas DVD into the machine tonight ... can't decide which one to watch ...

Have a jolly Sunday and to my American chums, enjoy your long weekend. cheesy

Nope they like chocolate chip... they are not too fond of blueberries yet. I love blueberry pancakes...anything blueberry actually... always did. LOL!

Coach- Only Junior could get 3 plastic bags stuck on his grill at the same time. I don't know when his luck is going to turn around but I hope it's soon.

They have always blacked it out here locally. I guess they figure that it will drive more people to the track. I would think if you are willing to stream it live to the indy car website though you could show it live here in town. They do show it on a tape delay in the evening at least.

Well it turned out to be a crazy hot day here. We reached a high of 96 degrees this afternoon. I was kind of depressed about not being at the track for the second year in a row but when I heard how hot it was I got over it quick. I really kind of miss working at the track. We use to run a concession stand as a fundraiser for our scout troop. We would have to get there at 4AM to get it set up and it was kind of like walking into a ghost town but within a couple of hours you had close to 500,000 people show up. I also worked the press box a couple of years with scouts handing out press releases to all of the reporters. We would get there at the same time but we got to go into the garage area and you could really just feel the sense of history walking through there and then out onto the pit lane in the moonlight. I will never forget how it felt to see the front stretch completely empty and then a few hours later to be standing in the press box at the start finish line as they started the cars up and the crowd went wild. My favorite part of the day though is always Jim Nabors singing back home again in Indiana. My grandma always loved that song and she defintely passed that down to me. I hope everyone had a Great Day!!!!!

Goodnight Everyone!!!!!!!!!!!

Okay we need 60 more posts to reach 1000 for the month!!!!!!!!!!
