I'm living in the Twilight Zone!

We have lived in this house for 8 years and the light above the sink has never worked. The landlord came out to fix it and it worked for like "2 minutes" and never worked again. I forgot about it and never really needed it anyway.

Okay, this gets weird. I went to turn on the faucet and I felt a slight static shock and the light came on! It scared the crud out of me with this sudden beam of light shining down on me!

Freaky, freaky! :hair:

I'm with you there! I'm not enjoying this mild winter at all. We might get flurries tonight, but I want more snow than that! :snowball:

We're supposed to get 2-4 inches tonight, with a 1/10 inch of ice. I am glad I am going to be home, since we're getting ice too!

Hello all! I haven't been on here much lately. I was sick for a while but am feeling better other than just feeling plain exhausted. The weather has been all over the place and I think that makes me feel bad. I hope everyone is having a great week! Take Care!

Sorry to hear that you hadn't been feeling well, but glad to hear that you're feeling better now. Continue to rest when you can, that way you get your energy back!

I went and visited my grandparents today, they are doing well. My foot is hurting a bit today

Wonderful news that your grandparents are doing well. What a blessed gift.

Still thinking about you with that foot!

I love these kinds of stories!!!

My grandchildren were over earlier and watching Mickey's Christmas Carol. I said, "oh no, there's Scrooge"! My grandson looked at me and said, "I thought his name was Steve"? I said, "Ebeneezer Steve"??? He said, "yes".

I found this little lady in the thrift store today for only $5

Did not realise what her name was until I got home...

my daughter insisted that I buy it because she said it was just perfect for me.

Go ahead and ring for tea or cocoa. Made is on-call!!!

Just checking in before bedtime. It's nice to sit in bed with the netbook and catch up. If I could ring for tea or cocoa, it would be perfect!

Huh! It hasn't started out here yet. (Not that I'm looking forward to clearing the walkways and the car tomorrow morning before the commute ...)

I'm glad that works for you! I've hung around here long enough to learn a few tricks.

I'm not feeling sore in the throat right now, just feeling vaugely under the weather. I hope a good sleep will get it all out of my system.

Thanks, CM3!!!

If only I knew "Cat," then I could sing Happy Birthday Day to him!!!

Good Morning Merry Chums!

Today our once little ***** cat, turns 7 years old.

EditedChristmasPhotos005-1.gif

Even when he was little, he looked ready to take on the world!

I remember when we first saw him ... the sunlight on the back porch showed his bright orange striped pattern and I was thrilled that he was an orange ***** cat. His mother was calico and I thought he was black and brown for some reason. He fit into my hands, he was so small.

Look at him now, waking up from his evening nap!

Weighing in at nearly 27 lbs.
As much as he's made our lives a struggle at times, he has taught us a thing or two about patience.

Happy Birthday - King O'Malley! :gift:

You guys need some special time together. Even if you cannot go out, you could have a special time at home with dinner and a movie!!!

hey ya'll, just got caught up again. it's just been a crazy busy week for all it sounds like, work, weather, illness, dr.'s appts. maybe this weekend we can all get some rest.
our weather is so whacked here. wed. & thurs. we had freezing temps & now this weekend it's suppose to be in the 60's & rainy. go figure huh?
i wish i could post more in the day like some of you do but our computers are always doing something & out in the open for everyone. it would make it easier to stay on track w/ ya'll but....oh well.
my son is having problems getting his tuition straight @ school. for some reason the advisor didn't tell him he still had a balance for this semester so now the computers have booted him out & he has to go to all his professors & have them sign saying he's been in class & pay the balance then he'll be added back in the system. says he needs 1 more signature. it seems there's always something w/ him. i love him to pieces but he is a bigtime procrastenator (spelling?) his books is another thing. he's not gotten them yet & we've found out he can rent some of them instead of buy, well he's not checked on that yet either. heck last semester he didn't get his books @ all & made good grades....go figure! we are definitely not going that route again though.
my oldest is doing ok i guess. that sounds awful but he leaves in the a.m. for class, works, & goes to girlfriends after. he comes in after i'm asleep (early bird here!) his gf's mom works the evening shift & i don't think she likes being by herself so he hangs w/ her. must be catching up w/ him because he was home early last night, probably tired.
my baby girl seems to be doing good this semester. i ask all the time but if she's doing ok she won't talk much about school.
oh enough about kids & class. my hubby & i have been married 20 years right? he's almost 17 years my senior. i think we're in a rutt, meaning we are pretty much parents & employees. if it's not work or kids we are talking about, it's football & that's it. we both are always tired, sleepy, or moody from work or kids. we really need to make more time for us. ya' know i don't even know what i would be like. hubby is right about 1 thing, our weight gain has us w/ limited energy. we are gonna try & work on that.
sorry if i tended to run on, just putting down thoughts, ya' know?
hope ya'll have a good friday, about 8:10 me & daughter will be jamming to our friday song on the way to her school. "it's finally friday". woohoooo

Ok, guys, it's 5 o-clock somewhere...right here!

I'll be at the store all day tomorrow, so I'll try to check in from there.

Have a great weekend, everyone! cheesy

Love these pics!!!

Ahhhh - I just found some pictures on my computer from Christmas!

- These are plates my mom and I bought this year. I love them! I love anything that has to do with Santa or snowmen lol.

- This one was Christmas morning, lol. My brother is 24 and I am 20, we were still so excited to open presents. I miss that little gingerbread house (top left) - you stick a candle in it and the smoke comes out of the chimney!

- This is a small tree that we have in the kitchen. There used to be white lights on it but my parents replaced it because we love colored over here. This was so nice to gaze at while I ate dinner!

These pictures make me miss Christmas so much! I don't even care about the presents, I will just take staring at my decorations and watching Christmas movies. Everyone really is in a better mood during the holiday season. I am about to go in Christmas movie withdrawal, I might have to watch the Santa Clause 2 or Jingle All the Way tonight!

Finding these pictures made my Friday even better. Two classes today and then hopefully I can relax for the weekend. We are supposed to get anywhere from 1-5 inches of snow tonight, so we will see what happens!

Have a good, safe day everyone.

I just saw where Etta James has died...such sad news today.RIP.
Yes, I saw that on the news. She had an amazing voice. Loved the song "At Last"

Just got off the phone with brandi and she said that she has noticed the trees in the front yard are getting tiny blooms on them. Can't say that I am surprised at all either, even last year when we had an early spring it was still march before everything bloomed out and was white. I fully expect everything to start in Feb this year,I like to see the seasons change though it serves as a reminder that in time it will be Autumn again, and of course the holidays will be here again too. I am taking everyone out tonight to eat, this is the first night we have been out since the baby came and we have a sitter. I bet we will only be gone an hour or 2 and I think it will be hard too! In 4 short weeks we will be leaving him at the sitter 5 days a week!! it's kind of a wierd feeling but I guess it gets easier with time. I think we will go eat at this Thai place in town that has the best food. I love asian food and it's been a while since I have eaten it. Don't know what else is planned for the weekend, but I plan on taking it easy!! have a great rest of the work day everyone
yes, the leaving of the baby for the first time blues...happens to all new parents.
By the time you get to your third you become willing to pay 10x's the cost of a baby sitter if they would just please come over and look after them...just for an hour!!! LOL

It's warm enough here that my son has his air conditioner on! I don't ever remember running the air conditioner in January before!
