According to the radio station I listen to in the morning, today is going to be "ridiculously hot and humid" - way to be positive, no? I say today will find a cold front (only 86 degrees!) slowly making it's way into our area. I like my forecast better!!! It is all in how you look at things!

Good morning all!

Boy I had a strange dream last night. Sheesh. And I didn't even watch anything weird before I went to bed. LOL. Like others stated, today is going to be the hottest day of the year! Going into the 100's,.... and that's NOT including humidity! Well I am in my freezing cold work so I don't have to worry. I can't wait for QVC with Christmas items. Its always fun watching it and chatting on the board. Well better get back to work! Have a great day all!

I had a nice surprise today. My daughter came over with the grandkids and my grandson had his guitar and a notebook. He told me he wrote me a song. I sat down and he played the guitar while my grandson played the "drums" (drumsticks on the floor) and he sang the words from his notebook. It was so cute! I was not expecting that!!!

That is the sweetest!!

Good question! But overboard is a good thing when it comes to decorating!!! I love the decorating Hallmark does in all their movies. Makes me want to jump into the TV.

The movie, The Christmas Card, that was on last night, I told Wayne I wish I could live in that house. Seemed so cozy for Christmas and nicely decorated!

If you are interested, we have a 2000 Ford Windstar that we were going to give to Teen Challenge, however, if you would like it you can have it. We had a pre-safety done on it last fall and it needs new brakes and some body work underneath. Not sure of the cost of that, Bryan would have a better idea.

The reason we still have it is because our son Jonathan was thinking of using it for his business, but his plans have changed. We did not drive it this past winter or the one prior. Air still worked the last time we used it.

I have a van now!!! my brother will pick it up and do the work it needs.

BRILLANT news so glad u got sorted with something ~} my new jeep comes this evening as well.. so for a few days am gonna have 2 as the guy that has bought the grand vitara will not be lifing it to friday and my new one is a landrover freelander its not new as in new its a 2009 ...

We need rain badly around here, especially with the forests destroyed by last years tornado, all the dead trees would make one heck of fire that would be hard to contain.

We need a lot more. We are over 8 inches behind right now and a lot of the communities have issued water restrictions. There's been grass fires along side of the interstates daily because of people flipping cigarette's out and NOAA's long range forecast doesn't show any relief through September.

Good Morning MMC!!!!!! It's going to be hot, really really hot. So I'll be sitting here watching hsn's christmas in july in front of the air conditioner. I've decided that this Bill duggan is hsn's version of Chad. He's on constantly. Well my youngest niece just walked through the door. I have to babysit her for a few hours while my sister takes my older niece down to the childrens hospital. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!!!!

A few years ago Yankee Candle had a "Leather" scented candle, it was the worst scent of candle my wife and I ever smelled. It actually hurt the back of my throat it was so bad. I don't think they make that one anymore, we haven't seen it since then.

Ew!!!!!!!! That candle sounds disgusting. It's making the back of my throat burn thinking of it. My mom and I are addicted to candles. We have about 38 of them now - it's fun to rotate lol! Our favorites are the Slatkin & Co. candles from Bath & Body Works. They have some great Christmas ones!

Have been watching hsn this past hour. they were showing a few outdoor airblown. they look every light compared to gemmy airblown.
And some lights that look like snow falling . now they are at thomas kinkade wall hangings
Hope u all had a nice weekend watching christmas movies. and the hallmark oraments. 2 mmc friends got me the link for the hallmark book and there is some lovely ones in it. good selection to suit all tastes.

Good morning, Meceka! Ridiculously hot and humid...that never sounds pleasant! It is going to be the same way here today, except 95° for a high. I often find myself having weird dreams! I always wonder if it has to do with something I ate before bed because I don't feel like I watch anything odd half of the time lol! It's warming up quickly here, HSN is on, the Winter Lane glitter candle is on right now, not my cup of tea, but it's cute. I'm sure the boys would like it for a night light, like everything else that lights up. cheesy
I'm surprised Comcast doesn't have Christmas In July shows and music On demand like last year, kind of disappointing really.

With my wife being a teacher, she gets candles or gift cards to Dunkin Donuts for her Christmas gifts from her students, we have a lot of candles here. We get so many we have, ahem, regifted some in the past. cheesy

I need a little boot in the butt this evening for feeling glum and sorry for myself. My only chance to see Mr. today was before 7 p.m., because he's looking after his dad this evening, and I'll be asleep when he gets home. One of our deep-pocketed clients at the office came up with a request for some new ads at the end of the day, so I had to stay late. I got home just in time for our cars to pass each other on the street as I was getting in and he was leaving. In the morning he'll be asleep when I get up; tomorrow night he's going to his dad's right after work, so I'll be asleep when he gets in ... at this rate I won't see him long enough to talk to until Wednesday afternoon when we leave for the convention. Thanks, client.

To be realistic, that client helps to fund my paycheck, and other folks have much bigger woes than I ... but I felt so forlorn when our cars passed and I couldn't even kiss him on his way. Life is like that. I've got to learn to roll a little bit.

i hope you guys will be able to spend every minute together @ the convention. have a wonderful time merry!!

It rained, It rained!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It only lasted about an hour but that was the most rain we've seen in 3 months.

we had major drought issues last year & the year before. nothing to have fires starting all over. i do hope y'all get some much needed relief soon!!
