Hi everyone. Hope your weekends were nice. Stayed late at work today, a lot going on. Still no electric, but no worries the Condo Club house is now up and running and we can take nice hot shower there, I go to work very early in the AM so gas lines aren't a problem for me.

I hope all of you are well. I will check through the posts to see what I missed over the weekend.

Great to see you all again

Morning news show out of Toronto is doing a poll today on when we think the Christmas season should start. So I am posting the link so we can vote too.
http://www.bttoronto.ca/
scroll down about 1/2 way and on the left you will see the vote section.

Now
After Remeberance Day (November 11)
or after the Santa Claus Parade (November 18)

I'm one of 16% who said now. cheesy

Is anyone in here participating in the Christmas ornament exchange? Or, perhaps, someone that has previously participated? I have a quick question to ask. Send me a message if you can!

I love, love, love your pictures Vsuclaribnl!!!

:hello:

Last year when we lost power after the October snowstorm, there was a lot of frustration around but no one was truly angry. All of us that lost our power at work just joked about it. The worst part was the fact no one was taking showers, and a few people stunk (myself included) but you know they knew they did and we were all embarrassed by it, and joked about it. cheesy

LOL!!! When the club house here opened I think me and hubby couldn't run there fast enough. It feels good to shower that's for sure!!! They replaced a pole, but something happened to the substation and that is why our power is down we have 4 substation that feed into the condo complex two are being worked on as we speak YIIIPPPEEEEE, so I keep saying any day now!!! LOL

I don't like it being dark when I get home. However, with daylight savings time, we have lots of kids waiting on school buses in the dark. At least now it is daylight. We had a bear approach some kids while they were eating and waiting on a school bus earlier this year. The kids didn't panic and knew what to do, (most of the boys had been bear hunting), but it could have been bad.
I hadn't thought about kids at bus stops, you're right! And thank goodness the kids who were approached by the bear are ok!

Good afternoon,

I am home sick today, just feeling blah. I stayed in bed until noon, but I think I am going to have some Nyquil and take another nap.

Feel better soon, xmas!

Wow! That could have been bad! My friends Mom is a school bus driver & she always appreciates the dst just for that reason - kids waiting on the bus in the dark. She definately has a point, but I don't like it being dark by 6pm. I'm dreading it tonight. Guess maybe I'll get some Christmas movies ready for the dvd player!

I was at Target yesterday buying new lights for our Christmas tree. Whee! I can't believe we're putting it up this week!

Woo Hoo!!

I hope they get it back on before this next storm hits.

WOW! Sounds like a great morning! I think I can smell your cinnamon rolls in Ohio! Mmmmm

They turned out pretty darn good if I do say so myself.

Instead of making my own dough I finally tried frozen bread dough and it worked great. Plus I didn't have to spend all day waiting on the dough to rise.

Yikes!!! Glad it turned out okay.

Not a whole lot else is happening. Today is my last Monday at my job. My second last day at the job. My contract expires tomorrow. I'm hoping that something comes along as soon as possible. I need money and cannot be out of work very long! Again, it's terrible to have two degrees and a diploma and not be able to find work.

Praying you find something else quickly.

I can't stand this time change! I looked at the clock last night, I was sure it was around 9pm,...it was 7pm! Then I was wide awake at 5am. Grrrr. Now it's going to be dark at 6pm. No time to do anything outside after work.

I've been the same way. It will take me a couple of weeks to get into the groove.

Okay, I've got caught up with the posts from today. I wanted to go back and respond to some posts from this weekend but I just don't have the time right now. Maybe later.

Amen !!! Well said Lauriebear !!! xo

LOL Thanks CM3

C On top of this, Christmas music was playing!! My first traditional Christmas song of the Season was "Rudolph the Red nosed Reindeer." I am trying to hold off listening to music until the Season begins, but I can't control the music played in stores, right!?

Yes!!!

I'll let you borrow my battery powered heated socks next time.

OOOOO I think I need a pair of those!!!

Good morning Christmas Family !!

Hope this does not offend anyone !!! ....I thought it was cute and wanted to share......You all know how special animals, in particular dogs, are to me !!!! xoxoxo

I love this picture!!!

Good Saturday to you all!

Santas Reindeer are really small this year!

hamster-dressed-as-reindeer.jpg

hmmm, this reminds me of the Bud commercials the one with the little horse who tries to pull the wagon & can't but the big ones help out... Or the one with the donkey who get to lead thy wagon... Too Cute!!! Don't know why that made me think of it but that cute little guy did!!!

Good evening, everyone! How are you all!? I'm not bad. It's been a busy week/start to my weekend, but just thankful for my family and that I have them!

It your friends with me on Facebook, you would have saw the post about my dad yesterday. He hasn't been feeling very well for 3 days or so. He had flu like symptoms, just no fever and that is what EA had, so he went to the doctor. They thought he either had an appendicitis or diverticulitis. Well, that's not even close to what it was. He has a blood clot in the lining of his intestines. It was very scary for him and us at first - this is his 3rd blood clot - so he obviously has some type of issue. The doctors did a lot of clotting blood work to see. My mom and I both have a clotting deficieny. We both have had a blood clot before too, so they don't know where I get my deficieny from. I guess we soon wiill. The doctor flat out told him he could have died if he waited much longer. I knew that myself, but didn't want to tell my dad that.

Anyway, they told my dad yesterday, they were putting him on Heparin through his IV, which is a drip and he would be there for 3 to 5 days and if it didn't take care of the clot, he would need surgery. With his symptoms and such, he is already responding well and the doctor send he shouldn't need surgery, thank goodness!

Thank you all for your continued prayers as, I've been dealing with this, plus EA being sick this week - I know some of you too read about my uncle in the prayer section on the boards. We find out in a week and half if his tumors are cancerous. Please continue to prayer his tumors are non-cancerous.

What God doesn't give you...wheew!

Well, hope you're all having a great weekend! Don't forget to turn your clocks back tonight. I will be working an extra hour. God Bless and enjoy those Christmas movies. I know I am! cheesy

Oh Sugar... I will be praying for your family

Good evening, MMC!

I hope this finds everyone doing well!

I am almost three days behind in posts and I haven't the time to catch up tonight. My new modem already broke so I am using someone else's laptop at the moment. I already have a new modem on the way, but it won't get here until later next week, so I won't be around much.

Bo is not doing good ~ please keep him in your thoughts and prayers.

Have a MERRY night!

:rudolph:

Meceka - I will keep Bo in my prayers, little Bo....

What a pain about the new modem. Hope it gets there soon

Hey, Mac, where did you post the pics?

Well, Nov is here already!

Signs of the season are everywhere.
Stores already have either Xmas items on the shelves and are starting to decorate, some have already done so. Commercials on TV have started on the 1st.

I just happen to hit the grocery store on the 1st, and low and behold, the eggnog was already out, earlier then usual I might add.
Of course, we had to pick some up and had a glass to toast in the approaching Holiday season.

Slowly, signs of Xmas shopping are starting to take shape.

It won't be long now before the Xmas Season will be here!
The closest radio station I pick up will start playing Xmas music on the 15th!

Fitting as I consider mid Nov the start of the Holiday Season.

I have to say, I was surprised tonight on my way home from doing a bit of Holiday shopping to see a Xmas tree all lit up in a living room window already!

Now with the clocks going back and the temperatures coming down, it's beginning to feel more and more like Xmas!!

Nov has a lot going on for me too with various family birthdays and some vacation days coming up, including the Thanksgiving holiday, so it won't be long that we will be a month from the big day.

Another milestone tomorrow, we hit 7 weeks to Xmas Eve!

Have a great week all!

Cheers!!

ML

p.s
I posted so Halloween wedding pics, for those that are interested.
