Ok, here is my contribution to the vintage picture talk-

what do You guys think of vintage commercial signs hanging in the kitchen as decoration? I am thinking of buying some on ebay....not even started to search yet....but I love those old things...and think they look cool in kitchens

 

[Holiday]

Good evening friends! We are at the time of year when the days seem so long(daylight I mean) June 21st and the 22nd are officially the longest days of the year but on the 23rd they start to sloooowwwlly get shorter and shorter and you know what that means!!!

It means that I am going to be walking in the dark at 5:30 in the morning again before I know it!!! :busy:

It has been a very sad day for me. After consulting with both vets' I had to say goodbye to Mouse. I believe a part of me passed on with her - such a lonely place here now. I wish I could hug each and every one of you who kept her in your prayers - it meant so much to me. God bless!

(((Maceka))) I am so sorry for your loss. This makes me sad. Like the others said - we sure will miss the Mouse stories!! Hang in there! Happy Birthday to Palmer!!

I have been to Vegas 5 times when the temps have got near 110 and will take the dry Vegas heat any day over our 95-101 humidity heat we have here. We would walk up and down the strip in that heat and it didn't bother us too bad. I can't last 5 minutes in this awful Texas heat here. Blah! I guess you have to suffer this junk here in Texas to appreciate the heat in Vegas. BUT I would take the heat where you live over both places!!!!!!!

Can I move in with you guys for the summer??? Pleeeeease!!!! laying:

Sure!!! Come on over, and bring the fur kids!!

I guess it was too monotonous for me. I love clouds & rain every once in awhile, something to break the heat up. Adrian enjoyed it! It was sunny & hot every day! The strip was the only place you'd see people, and locals avoid the strip unless they are going to an event or dinner there. Otherwise, you'd only see people early in the morning, or late at night when it was cool enough. I am an outdoorsy person, and I yearned to be out more. it would reach up to 115 degrees for too many months.

I guess I'm just different, LOL!

So many people move there for that weather.

It is stupid that it is this hot in June! It's not rare for Oklahoma...but it's still stupid!

Okay...now that I have that out of my system...

How is everyone this afternoon? I was out and about on my lunch hour looking around a few stores. I saw no signs of fall, yet. I know summer hasn't even officially started, but I'm really in a holiday state of mind already this year. Not sure why. It may be because it's been a rough few weeks with everything that has gone on. Not sure, but oh well. At least I have Christmas in July coming up!

The Texas summer heat is awful. We lived in Carrollton for 6 years and it make me really dislike summer. I visited Vegas a few time for work. Both are miserable during the summer months but I agree that Texas is probably worse. South Georgia, where Brad lives, has brutal summers with high humidity.

We have been in the mountains for 14 years now and even though I still complain about the heat, our mid to upper 80s highs don't compare to Texas and Vegas. I still long for a summer with 68 being as hot it gets.

How are you all?

It's going to be hot & humid here today, about 80 degrees, and a high pollen count. Blech!

I have a lot of errands to run today, including a haircut appointment & shopping for Father's Day.

Made said he could come & use his clippers on me but I'm thinking that's a bad idea!! Sorry, buddy!! I like my hair, too much =]

I may also drop by Michael's & look for Fall stuff!!

Just was it a few minutes ago....tragic. There was a picture posted on twitter that was him and his son at his son's kindergarten graduation a couple of week's ago. Broke my heart....

That's so sad. Praying for his family. Breaks my heart too.
