BTW, I got out of the office shortly after it closed at 1 p.m., and Mr. got out early, too, so we went and had a big lunch to kick off the long weekend. Yay! May get some ice cream later. No special plans for the weekend, but that's a good thing.

Yay!!! Glad you didn't get stuck there all afternnon!!!

Enjoy your weekend!!!!

I'm not a beer drinker either but I could go for one too. Hmm, I wonder when my neighbor is coming home from Michigan. I can usually swap him a rum and coke for one.

Well I guess you mention him and and he shows up. My neighbor just got home after 3 weeks in michigan.

I love when something like that happens. It happened on the way to Chico today when we passed some open fields. I could smell the fresh green beans and it reminded me of preparing the beans on a Saturday to be ready to cook on Sunday after church. I think the memory "thing" is why being a teacher and having my own classroom (the first day especially) made school so great for me. I guess you could say I re-lived my first days of school for almost 25 years plus the ones when I was a student. Precious memories!

I bought a new top a couple of weeks ago and the scent of the material brought back memories of starting 5th grade: new classroom, new clothes, new folders and pencils, new beginnings I thought of all in a span of a few seconds. It was kind of cool!

This is true!! But it would be a blast!!!

Thanks, I will!! And thanks for asking about my career.

It is tough right now, not what I expected. School did not prepare me for the reality of being an independent contractor, in fact it teaches nothing about $. We learn about the reality of the business from our Brokers. I had no idea it called for aggressive sales tactics, my understanding was that it was a service type of sales, and that I would get more leads through my company. Therefore, we are struggling financially, and are having a tough time spending extra money on marketing my business, when there's nothing coming in. Add that to the fact that I haven't worked for 9 months.. there are monthly & annual fees that are very high.
I based my love for real estate on my experiences buying & selling, and didn't know the other side of things. I researched it, but there are laws about not discussing $, so I could only find out so much. I don't know that we can afford the fees while building my business. After I went to work for my broker, I was told that many agents are in the -$ for many years. It doesn't help that I don't know a lot of people here, much of the business is based on referrals. I am looking for supplemental income of my own right now.

Prayers would be appreciated!! =]

Thanks again for thinking of me! I'm trying to stay positive!!

:sparkle:

Sorry I didn't quote this yesterday, but you are in my thoughts, Snowflake.

my eldest, Jeannine, is 30 years old today! wow, I do not recall getting older myself but apparently she did.

Going out to camp this evening and will enjoy some cake and a glass of wine at that time to toast this milestone celebration.

Happy B-Day to her!!!

Good morning MMC friends. Thanks for the support and kind words as I went through chick flick overload. Its a serious condition that inflicts millions of men each and every year, yet it seems to go unnoticed and misunderstood by many. Those of us who suffer with it know all too well the pain fellow brothers go through when the condition strikes them. So we will march on, silent no longer, keeping up the good fight. cheesy

I hope everyone has a great day and happy Friday, friends!

I go through the same thing when my wife watches Teen Mom 2, The Kardashian's, Twilight movies. I feel your pain, buddy.

Yes, I woke up to a loud storm, and had trouble falling back asleep!

So I watched Murder She Wrote & checked out MMC threads =]
