Christmas Countdown - 2016

Sorry so late!

It's a faux commercial designed to advertise how selling that brand a pizzas in Bernie's store has improved his business. It won't actually be shown on TV. But the pizza company will choose 25 winners who will receive a nice pizza "station" with a new cooker, an assembly table, a refrigerated storage cabinet for the toppings, and a display stand to go in front of all this, to make it look cool.

We had a lot of fun making it!

Good Friday morning everyone! It will be a rainy, dreary day here but that's ok, the trees and grass really need it. So we finally found a couch yesterday, a recliner too (hubby is thrilled), it will be delivered Monday night. So today we'll look for a new rug (the one we have is REALLY old and in dire condition). No other plans for today, just want to relax, only a few days of vacation left.

TGIF, Christmas friends!

Elizabeth is off to school this morning, and Jacob is still in the bed. That boy. He starts college on Monday, but his first class isn't until 11am. I think it'll be a lazy semester for him LOL.

Elizabeth starts back with dance class tonight, too, so we're getting back into our commuter role again.

I plan to finish the grass and the shrubs Saturday morning, then I'm going to see Star Trek again! "Beam me up, Scotty!"

We sure could use some rain! Not holding my breath though. We had an 80 -90% chance Wed, Thurs, Fri, Sat....we haven't had enough rain to move the floater in our rain gauge!
It was very fun last night! Steve is such an entertainer, always changing words in songs to include the crowd. Fun time!

Lemme tellya, I was tempted to go back home ... but how to turn around with all those detours?? I think they're probably trying to finish up work early in the day because of the heat advisory and possible thunderstorms later.

OK... back to looking a little more like my military days... lol. Everything else went fine as there is little traffic here at 9AM. Time for another cup of "Joe", a podcast listen and then off to check the inside of my eyelids.

Good morning MMC! Merry Friday!!! Another hot day today but the 15 day forecast is looking GREAT! You can ignore the rain in the forecast! It never rains here this year. LOL!!! (seriously!)

Yesterday was possibly the steamiest day of the year! Whew! My sis & I picked some tomatoes, peppers, pulled the onion, kohlrabi in the garden - we had to quit. It was so, so hot! But that turned into a beautiful evening to take our convertible to a restaurant where our friend was singing/playing outside on the patio! Our lake neighbors met us there & then they headed straight to the lake for the weekend. We'll meet them there this afternoon! Looking forward to it! Mom is covered for the weekend, so I don't have to stay there all weekend! Not that it's a bother, but it will be nice to have a whole weekend at the lake!

I saw similar temps here for us in about a week or so from now going into late August. Maybe the extreme heat will at least start to slow down as we head closer to the Bers!

I bet it was tempting! The main road to get to our house is partially closed - has been for weeks, so I normally go around the back way. Well last night I took that partially closed road & all 3 entrances to our subdivision were closed....soo ALL the way around the country block I went. LOL! It's really not a big deal, just an inconvenience. Can't wait for them to complete the job! I won't be trying to go down that road again anytime soon!
