The second inventory in three days is done, I am exhausted. I have this weekend off, and I am hoping to get out early tomorrow after all the hours I have put in this week. Just popping in to say a quick hello, and I will get caught up hopefully tomorrow.
It is also my wifes and mine 15th anniversary. Hard to believe it has been 15 years already.

Good morning MMC!!! Happy, Happy Friday!!!!

I am very much looking forward to this weekend, having no plans except going to the lake! Well, I shouldn't say that - our lake neighbors Mom passed away, so we do need to go to the viewing Sunday afternoon. Very sad, but she was 93 & lived a great life. That makes it just a little easier - still stinks! This is our last weekend that's not totally nuts until June - and June will be busy too! May is packed full with graduations, weddings (2 of which are out of town - overnighters) and a 1st Communion + trying to get my weekend with Mom in there. Ahhhhhh! Anyway, planning to chill at the lake this weekend!

We ended up with less than 1/4" of rain yesterday. Hopefully that was enough to make our onions happy, until the next rain. Today we have a slight chance - tomorrow they say 90% chance, (go figure - Saturday!) but yesterday we had an 80% chance of rain all morning - it rained about an hour. LOL! So we'll see!

Good Friday afternoon! I am currently at a walk-in clinic next to my work, where I was able to get an appointment for a problem with my left Achille's tendon that started about 3 weeks ago. It's cutting into my work day but since the pain has not subsided, I had no choice but to see a doctor. Hope everyone is enjoying a nice day before the weekend. Here the sun is out for the second day in a row, amazing!

Good morning, Christmas friends. I needed to get up early and drink some coffee. I need piece and quiet like never before. We are having a really trying time at school and I haven't been able to get any time alone to think since Tuesday. It is a nightmare. If you get a few minutes to say a prayer for ol' Ballcoach and his kids, p[lease do so.

Going to try to do some cooking and dodge storms today. Looks like the worst will be here tomorrow, but some are coming today. I hate it when I can't go outside, but it does force me to rest. Right now, I need it.

Welcome to the month of May MsRose. Sorry to ready about your mothers passing. It's never easy, but tends to be even harder around Christmas. My own father passed just after Christmas a ways back. In his case, the operation he was going to have left him with a less than 50% chance of recovery. As such he refused to have it until after Christmas. It was his favorite holiday too. I am praying for your health issues and trust that you will find healing not only in body, but in your wonderful holiday spirit as well.
I know everyone here at MMC misses you as well and hopes you are back in the pink (or red and green) soon. Have a better week...

Happy May MMC! A new week and a new month begin. I feel like April went so fast I almost didn't see it. But May is here and it's a great month normally. I think May and September are probably our 2 nicest months weather-wise usually. But of course this spring who knows because we have had a lot of rain and it looks like we have more on the way later this week. Should be a decent Monday at work and hope you all are getting your new month off to a good start. Unreal that it's May already. Enjoy your day!

Good morning my MMC friends. Another month has been put into the books as we open with the Magnificent Month of May. Of course here in Sioux Falls, that means a couple of inches of very wet & heavy snow. Will I be out in it shoveling? No. The highs today will be in the mid forties and tomorrow in the low sixties, so the "frozen" sunshine will soon make it's way into history (plus the lawns and sewers).
Been a full last few days. I stopped for a second this morning and thought back to when I first joined MMC which was last July. It made me realize the about of time spent in the Spring and early Summer cleaning, seeding, gardening along with just general home and yard work. Probably why I missed a lot less days in the Autumn and Winter than I do this time of year. At any rate, I hope everyone is doing well.
Got some chores to take care of today, including another round of posters and flyers for the "Zoo Camp".
I was going to try for some more yard work but the Lord decided I needed a break for today at least. Take care everyone and have a fun filled Monday and a tremendous week.
Oh yes and the 2017 draft is over. Bring on September 8th...

Morning Edge. Looks like we were doing our morning post at the same time. I kind of like the idea that May is cooler here. It may mean a not-as-hot Summer. Though I can appreciate those who love the warm to hot temps, I am not one of them (probably why I do not live in the south). Our snow of today will give way to the 60's for most of the week. Also glad I forgot to uncover the patio furniture last week.

(Just imagine that now. In a short 2 weeks, we will be just as close to the start of the next Season as we are past the start of the last Season!)


Our weather? Still a bit on the warm and humid side. Had a light rain early yesterday evening. Otherwise, all was clear.
This AM has commenced at 72 cloudy degrees here and we are hoping for another nice day in the capital city, although we do have a chance of rain this afternoon.

Good Monday morning, Christmas friends!

I worked like a pack mule Saturday. Mom's A/C hasn't worked well for a few months, and it finally quit a couple weeks ago. My brother has a friend in the business who helped us order a new unit at cost, and he agreed to help us install it. I used to work part-time for an HVAC contractor while I was in college, so I thought I would be a big help. It turns out that my 30 year old experience is out of date, and so is my 52 year old body! We got it done, though!

Jacob sang Friday night with the University Singers, and again Sunday afternoon in an opera. Both shows were great, although I confess that opera just isn't my thing. I love choir, barbershop, jazz, ballet, and most musicals, but not opera. I guess I'm just not sophisticated enough LOL.

I vacuumed the pool again yesterday afternoon, and I can finally see the bottom! Maybe it won't be too long.
