Thank you nmc! I'm sure it will be fine - it's just so overwhelming at the moment! Thankfully my co-workers started from the beginning too, so they understand the learning process! It's just so different ...

I understand about dozing on the couch. That's not like me either but this week I could snooze at any given moment...except when I'm supposed to be sleeping. LOL! Enjoy your day off tomorrow!
Your welcome! Mike has overtime tonight so I should be in bed early but I'm still wide awake

Oh man!! I've been craving Mexican. Hope you enjoy!!! (sounds SO good!) Hope you & the kids had a good day!

Thanks sugar!! :)

I'm sure they had a great day. They managed to brush their teeth and play their iPads, even when I asked them to do things. Kids...

And you're welcome!

Good evening all.

It is turning nice and cold here. Single digits by morning with windchill around -10 or -15. Snowing outside too. Just snow showers, nothing big.

We had a two hour delay this morning for some ice and snow. Tomorrow might be another delay. Next week we might be delayed or closed quite a bit with a combination of several small snows and very cold temperatures. We shall see.

Not much going on. Henry finally gets his birthday celebration this weekend. He is having some friends over Saturday and they are going to a place called "Get Air" It is a jumping place. Henry really enjoys it. Then they are having a sleep over Saturday night. He is really looking forward to it.

Well, everyone have a great night!

Sounds like a lot of fun! Hope Henry enjoys!

This must be the week of bad sleep for everyone. I worked 1 pm to 10 pm Monday and Tuesday. Yesterday I did a double and then worked 9 to 2 today. Yesterday and today I found myself dozing on the couch before I had to be at work so I know I've been exhausted.
I am off tomorrow so I am raking my cousin to get new sneakers. I will catch up on laundry too. I hope everyone had a to great day

Hope you are able to get caught up on your sleep as well.

Happy Final Friday of January MMC! And of course, Happy Rudolph Day #1 (here we go again)! Does Christmas feel a month ago already? Yes and no. It does seem like a while ago now but I feel like in a way I remember it like yesterday. Anyway, just looking forward to another winter weekend. Weather should be mostly dry and cold/normal. Nothing extreme again until Mid-Week next week. Have a great TGIF Everyone!

Good morning MMC ~
It’s going to be mostly sunny today with a high of 38 degrees. I’m just having my coffee and I’m working on a menu plan & grocery list. I’ll probably run to the butcher at some point. I already straightened up the house, started laundry and cleaned the wood floors. Rocky is still in bed with my husband and it’s much easier to clean the floors without him trying to attack my Swiffer. My father is back in the hospital. He had pain and swelling in his left leg so we ended up in the ER yesterday. He’s settled in to a room now so that’s where I’ll be most of the day. Hopefully he’ll respond well to the medication. The poor thing can not catch a break lately, it’s been tough. So that’s about it for me. I hope everyone is well and has a nice day.
xx

So sorry that things are going sideways for your Dad. I’ll keep him, your Mom, and you in prayer. Sending hugs - HIB

Good Morning, Weekend Thresholders.
And certainly Weekend Eve is situated right at the threshold of another two-day oasis.

But that aside, we have important business to attend to, namely a close review of the latest count data.
Here goes:
Days to the Season: 292
Days to Christmas Day: 334

And a close review of our Milestone marker chart indicates that we are now but 18 days short of the end of the ENTIRE FIRST QUARTER of our Season count.
And, speaking of thresholds, we will soon be standing on the one lying before the SECOND quarter door.
(Wow!)

Rather wet in the morning yesterday with cloudiness most all day. But it was quite warm indeed for January, topping out at 65 degrees.
Today, we will only reach 49, with a low of 24 tonight as our roller-coaster weather continues.
For now, we have commenced this final day of the work week sunny, at 35 degrees here in the middle part of North Carolina.

Have a Fabulous Friday, Folks!
And may your weekend tee-off this afternoon with a beautiful drive!

Thanks Crown! I can't even think about the fact of being a whole quarter closer to the Christmas Season!

Good late afternoon MMC!!! It's been quite the day! I worked this morning & my co-worker tried teaching me how she enters a major vehicle company job - which is totally different from any other jobs we do. Have mercy! I'm so confused!! I need to learn it, but GAH!! I will be dreaming about it tonight, I'm sure. My new job/company deals with a lot of the major vehicle industries - GM, Navistar, Honda, Chrysler- Gah - so confusing! And it all has to be done right. NO pressure! ;) :p This afternoon we had the viewing for my Moms caregiver! It made me sad. After that I went to my old job to enter anything that came into receivables - which was everything still out there. No more receivables there. Kinda sad. I paid the bills...which was only one. Things are really winding down there. I packed up some more of my things. Then I stopped at Moms house. I hadn't been there for quite awhile - it just makes me too sad, but I did stop today. It's so cold in there!! (well, it feels cold compared to a home that's lived in!) I walked through the house to see what I still need to get from there. It's been "one of them days" I guess!!
Now here I sit - still enjoying my tree. I planned on taking it down tonight, but now I'm changing my other mind! :p I'm ready for a nap! ;)
Hope you are all having a great day!
Thinking of you, Holiday!!
Don't worry about your job...the process will get easier.
Enjoy your tree as long as you want!

Sorry to hear about your Dad, HMG...prayers for him and I hope he is home soon.
HAHA...Rocky! Leo and him would get along well. He attacks brooms and vacuums. Last night I was vacuuming and I had put him in my daughter's room with her. If you put him in by himself he attacks the door as soon as he hears it but if someone is with him he will lay on the bed with them. He is a bit quirky...lol

Hugs & prayers to you & Nancy's family, Brad!!! That is such a hard meeting to have! 1st of all Hospice has changed their name from "Hospice" to "State Of The Heart Care" Which means, it no longer means "end of life" - My mom was on "State Of The Heat Care" for over 1 1/2 years & they are WONDERFUL!!! We asked them what was the longest (locally) anyone has been on "Hospice" & they said 4+ years. When Mom wasn't feeling well, they were there within an hour or 2 (or less - usually within 30 minutes!) to check her out & they delivered ALL of her medicine. We would have never been able to get her to the doctor to get the meds/attention she needed. They got us her supplies, wheel chair, portable potty, hospital bed, walker, lift chair, Hoyer Lift, bed side table, chair & bed alarm - absolutely everything she needed - especially towards the end. We never had to take her out in bad weather - but if she was having a good day, we were more than happy & able to take her out! Praying for you all to make the best decision for her & you all & Nancy's Mom is happy with it! It's so hard!!!
Sorry to hear about Elizabeth's issues last night, but I have no doubt she recovered & had a wonderful performance!!!
Hope you are having a great day!
It certainly is a wonderful option. Being able to provide some dignity at the end of life FREE OF CHARGE is one of the most beautiful gifts in the world.
