Hugs & prayers to you & Nancy's family, Brad!!! That is such a hard meeting to have! 1st of all Hospice has changed their name from "Hospice" to "State Of The Heart Care" Which means, it no longer means "end of life" - My mom was on "State Of The Heat Care" for over 1 1/2 years & they are WONDERFUL!!! We asked them what was the longest (locally) anyone has been on "Hospice" & they said 4+ years. When Mom wasn't feeling well, they were there within an hour or 2 (or less - usually within 30 minutes!) to check her out & they delivered ALL of her medicine. We would have never been able to get her to the doctor to get the meds/attention she needed. They got us her supplies, wheel chair, portable potty, hospital bed, walker, lift chair, Hoyer Lift, bed side table, chair & bed alarm - absolutely everything she needed - especially towards the end. We never had to take her out in bad weather - but if she was having a good day, we were more than happy & able to take her out! Praying for you all to make the best decision for her & you all & Nancy's Mom is happy with it! It's so hard!!!
Sorry to hear about Elizabeth's issues last night, but I have no doubt she recovered & had a wonderful performance!!!
Hope you are having a great day!
