Happy St. Patrick's day everyone. Spring is just around the corner; four days away. Getting some shepherd's pie for dinner, and I'll make some quick soda bread as a side. It's been a bit cool today, had time to run some errands in the morning, laundry, and a bit of cleaning too.

Now that the snow is almost gone, I'm finding lovely surprises buried underneath. Mostly plastic bottles and bits of paper from when we had a few blustery days. Almost time for spring cleaning outside. Maybe in a couple of weeks.

I should have made Shepard's Pie instead of Meatloaf; what kind of Irish Lass am I anyway? I usually make it every other month.

I am wiped; another busy week ahead; trying to balance work, home care schedules, etc.

So, happy to have my happy refuge here at MMC to carry me through the week; this is my "down time" a.k.a. merry hang out.

Happy St. Patrick's Day MMC! And Happy 3rd birthday to Rollins. It's cold and sunny here. Just going to do some errands and give Rollins some new toys/treats for his bday and his little friend is coming over. She just turned 1 the other day so they will have a little party together. Happy Monday MMC! Winter transitions to Spring this week! That's major! And I have my own version of spring break these next 2 weeks as I'm only working Mon - Wed these next 2 weeks before being back to the grind. Need to enjoy some time off. It’s going to be sunny with highs near 44, we’re currently at 27 degrees. I’m just having my coffee and I am watching the news right now, I’m going to start cooking breakfast in a couple of minutes. Not much going on here today. I need to take a ride to the pet store to pick up a couple of things and then Rite Aid to get a prescription refill for my husband. Other than that I will be working on my daily chores. I’m trying a new recipe for dinner, lemon chicken tortellini soup. That’s about it for me. I hope everyone has a nice day and a great week ahead!!!

Hope the new recipe is a success. I aim to try a new recipe each week with a goal of never eating the same thing twice in one month. Looking up recipes is half the fun. Enjoy your day HMG.

Good Monday morning! The first of 8 days off for me. I get the feeling that I won’t be doing much today after waking up at 1am and not falling back asleep until about 4am. I had to get back up early to take our car in for a safety recall on an air bag and they’ll call me when it’s ready, so I wouldn’t have gone anywhere anyway. Hope everyone has a great day!

Well, it cooled down yesterday and was cloudy for a good part of the day.
We will remain on the cool side this week, with lows in the 30's and highs in the 50's to low 60's until the weekend, when it will warm up again.
This fresh, new week has commenced here in central NC at 35 degrees.

Good Monday morning, Christmas friends!

We had a long, lazy afternoon yesterday. After church, we took mom to dinner so she wouldn't have to cook for all of us, as she does every Sunday. By the time I finished counting all of the Weight Watchers points I used on lunch, I didn't get much supper LOL. I'm 9 pounds down in two weeks, though!
