Happy 4th of July! My sister had to postpone our lunch until today, so that is the only thing on my agenda for today. Tomorrow, Back to School season begins for me, which means the Bers and Halloween are getting that much closer!

Good Morning Halloween Friends! July 4th is in the books now, which means the next major holiday that we celebrate (not counting our MMC Special Days), will be Labor Day, when we are back firmly in The Bers. And speaking of The Bers, NEXT WEDNESDAY will be the awesome, amazing 50 Day Preview to The Bers. I think aside from starting the new countdown each year for Christmas, this is the most anticipated event on the entire forum.
It will feel like a short week with yesterday being the Holiday. I hope you have a great day and hopefully soon start seeing some Halloween / Fall stuff popping up in "the wild"!

Alright, let's see how fast the 4th of July merch disappears from stores and the Fall stuff begins to take its place. This is the truly exciting time right here, when the Fall and Halloween items become less of a rarity in the wild and more of a normal rollout!

Back to School seems to be everywhere here already, so I agree that Fall/Halloween are going to slide right into the 4th of July spaces. I enjoyed the long weekend, and feel motivated to get a jump on Back to School planning, after that I can take some time to enjoy the Preview and start planning this year's Great Pumpkin Hunt!
YES! I love the Great Pumpkin Hunt! It's one tradition from the C-word times that we've kept going.

I have to mention, I've felt a heck of a pull these last few days for Fall & Halloween. The feelings are easily on par with how I feel in April after emerging from the winter and my Christmas meter is filling up again and I'm eager to begin "Christmas Hunting". Folks, there's just times when you really miss the holidays, and right now I'm going through it with Fall & Halloween. I think this is the strongest I've ever felt a "pull" from The Bers like this!

I can sympathize with the pull: Last night while driving home from Walmart, I was able to catch another faux Bers sunset. No picture this time since that would have been hard to do while driving, but the Feels were strong. I can't wait until they become the familiar Bers sunsets we know and love, especially around October. There's nothing like an October sunset with a little "Great Pumpkin Waltz" playing in the background.

Good Morning Halloween Friends and Happy Thursday! Today the big reveal on the counts is that we are FINALLY under a week now until the 50 Day Preview of The Bers.
I love seeing the Halloween merchandise pictures come in. They are all over my Facebook feed too. And just yesterday I saw that Lowe's have started putting out Disney Halloween decorations. I haven't been to my Lowes yet to see if I can see anything, but I'll be headed there over the weekend for sure. Can't ever remember seeing Lowes or Home Depot have decorations out THIS early, but it would be cool to see.
I'm also trying to plan my next trip to Bath & Body works to maybe see if I can catch the very beginnings of the Halloween stuff going out. They were totally decked out last year when I went in there on August 1st, so it has to be soon in there that I can see things start changing over!

I gotta find those Peanuts yard standees soon! I want Linus waiting in my front yard for the Great Pumpkin. At least I'll be able to look for them during my upcoming vacation.
Somehow I have not posted in this thread or followed this thread in the past. Time to fix that!
I really enjoy Halloween a lot and usually get in on the activities pretty early. As a matter of fact, I have a hard time not jumping into Halloween in early August! I try my best to wait until Labor Day weekend, but sometimes I find that I have to listen to some Halloween music in August. Normally it is the rock music stuff that is not really Halloween music, but gets thrown in there anyway.
Most years we get our inside Halloween decorations on Labor Day weekend or the weekend after that. That gives us most of September and all of October to enjoy them. Similar to Christmas when we put things up in early November which gives us 2 months there as well. Our outside Halloween decor normally goes up a couple of weeks later and certainly by the end of September. While not quite as big as our Christmas display, we have quite a bit of stuff to put up. The key piece is the giant Sandworm my wife (art teacher) made a few years ago. It is made from chicken wire and Great Stuff, and then carved. It is in 3 sections, the head, body, and tail. So it looks like it is going into and coming out of the ground.
Anyway, I will start to make this thread a regular visit now. Still amazed that though I have been a member here for several years, I do not remember ever coming to this thread. Wow, just, wow!
