Halloween 2024 Countdown!

My neighbors put up there Halloween decorations today. They are usually the first on my street. I am still not sure if I will put mine up next weekend or the following weekend after that. I kind of like to have the straight fall lights up for a bit but I really want to get up that new eight foot Skeleton I got for my Birthday. Hmm.....whatever should I do? Lol

Good Morning Halloween Friends! Another weekend in THE BERS is here! It was awesome having Friday the 13th yesterday and seeing Jason on TV again. I was lucky to find him on streaming - I'm going to have to fire up the old PS4 next year so that I can watch a lot of the Jasons and Freddys on the Blue Rays I have.

You can see from our counts above that Halloween Season "officially" kicks off in two more days. And then on our main counts we will be down to just Three! Sometimes looking at these counts reminds me of "And then there were none". We're slowly making our way through the counts. When all of the counts had returned by January of this year, I believe that we had 7 main counts. We're down to just four counts now, and we're going to lose another in two days. Just let that sink in for a minute.

Enjoy your weekend and enjoy being in THE BERS - so fortunate that we have 3 1/2 more months of them! Have a great day!

Happy Sunday Halloween Friends! Another day in the beautiful Bers. Big day tomorrow with the official beginning to Halloween Season!

We'll be down to three main counts then and losing another in about two weeks when we have the FINAL Jack O Lantern Day of 2024.

It was a treat over the weekend to see THANKSGIVING stuff appear at the grocery store. Holy cow! Here in just a few more weeks, I will be able to go to places like Lowes and Home Depot and really experience that amazing "Holiday Trifecta" that we talk about, where I can be immersed in Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas stuff all at the same store.

Happy Friday the 13th! While we are nearly at the "official" start of Halloween Season, I've been enjoying some Halloween films every night as it seems the networks are getting going a little bit early. One movie makes sense for this evening, and that's any of the "Friday the 13th"'s when we can check in on Jason and his wacky antics.

There's only ONE Friday the 13th next year, believe it or not, and it will be in June. In 2026 we get THREE of them. That's the most you can ever have! I hope all of you have a great Friday - the official start of Halloween Season is just 3 days away!

I LOVE Friday the 13ths! I'm so lucky that my birthday falls on a Friday this year in December! I think it will be a lucky day for me!

Hmm...that is a conundrum! I agree that I like to have a wee bit of the "autumn" season before I go whole into Halloween.

Happy Monday, Folks! We're done another countdown as of today. Spooky Season is here. We're two weeks from the final JOL Day of our 2024 Countdown season. October will be here the next day. And Halloween is getting pretty close at only 45 days out. It's not an entirely good feeling that the Halloween Count gets into the 30's next week. If we get that close to Halloween, we're that much closer to Thanksgiving and Christmas, and I feel like everybody across all of these threads want our holiday times to feel as long as possible.

We're gearing up for the remnants of another hurricane / tropical storm coming our way. Nothing near on the level of Hurricane Debby, which passed right through town here and we got just shy of 4 inches from it, and we got 9 inches of rain that week from violent T-storms in the days leading up to Debby. They think we might only get an inch or two, which is well needed but nowhere close to danger / flooding, etc..

I hope everyone enjoys the start of Spooky Season! It's the only thing fun about this Monday!
