Good Morning Halloween Friends! Happy Saturday! Today is going to be a screamer, temperature wise - we're getting up to 50 degrees. That's borderline Halloween / October weather, while a little bit more on the colder side. It will have been the warmest day we have had in weeks. But there's a big cooldown tonight and tomorrow as the snow moves in. Our range right now is from 3 to 5 inches. I'm off work Monday as we celebrate MLK Day!
Halloween milestones are in sight now - just TWO days until we reach 100 DAYS TO HALFOWEEN, and then next Friday we will see 250 DAYS TO OCTOBER!

Good Morning Halloween Friends! What a Saturday night it was with the Commanders advancing to the NFL Championship Game. Holy cow I was SEVEN years old the last time that happened in 1992, and never figured I would see that with my own eyes again.
The snow day is here - I have my snowblower parked out front and covered up, and here once the sun comes up I am going to arrange the cars in the driveway so I can shovel and snowblow easily.
We're on the doorstep to a major milestone. It's coming our way tomorrow and it is the 100 DAYS TO HALFOWEEN milestone. Folks that's a big one. I am not only looking forward to Spooky Spring as I always do, but the arrival of Halfoween means that I will have only one month, give or take, until Baby #2 is here.
I hope everyone enjoys their Sunday - another fun football day, and a dose of Christmas Feels when the snow gets here. This is my last weekend for the Christmas Lights, so they are really going out in style! Have a great day!

Evening Halloween Fans! I hope you are all doing well. We have snow outside. I got it from a lunch out we had. We always try to do something on Sunday our little group and we got it in today before the snow hit. Now it's time to relax the rest of the day and evening with hot chocolate and football. Man, I feel like Halfoween as a whole is getting more attention from the “normal” crowd each year — I.e. people who aren’t here on MMC counting down with us. I can’t wait to see what announcements and Halloween news are made this year during Halfoween. The momentum is building!

Good Morning Halloween Friends! We are smack dab in the middle of the extreme freeze. It's 5 degrees outside. I think tonight will be the coldest night of the winter, it is supposed to hit 3 degrees. Then tomorrow we climb out of it, and get above freezing the rest of the week.
You can see we're in double digits now on the Halfoween count! The first Jack O Lantern Day of 2025 is 10 days away. And we will have another milestone day, a big one at that, on Friday when we hit 250 DAYS TO OCTOBER!
I'm not enjoying weather like this. But we are all in it together. And a little less than 48 hours, and we will be out of it. I saw the projections for February weather and I just want to see that some of the days look like they could be downright "Halloweeny". Or "Octobery?" Whichever your preference. I'm seeing 40's and 50's thats perfect sweater/hoodie weather. I have long felt that no clothing item might perfectly sum up the Fall than a hoodie!

Of note, Halloween falls on a Friday this year. I might just take the day off work. That’s perhaps the best day that it could fall on; the weekend is the perfect lead-in to the Christmas season.

We're just single digits away from JOL Day #1. Tomorrow is Tom Turkey Day #2. Friday we celebrate 250 DAYS TO OCTOBER, Saturday is Rudolph Day #1, and Sunday is my return back to Hogwarts for the first edition of Dark Arts Sundays 2025. What a great time to be a fan of the holidays. We have a little dose of every holiday basically just about every day for the next 4 days.
It's still brutal cold here but we are coming out of it. Last night was not as cold as the night before. And we get above freezing today and through the rest of the week. I'm hoping that the dangerous, single digit at night cold is over with for this winter. The long term forecast makes it seem that way.

The other day, I submitted my post, or so I thought. It was in the "pending" box at the bottom. And as a result I missed a whole days worth of counts.
If you or any of the folks ever get online and it's like 10:00 in the morning or so and I haven't posted yet, please feel free to step in. This is everybody's thread.
That being said, we WILL need countdown volunteers at the end of May / possibly early June when I go to the hospital. That's about 17 weeks from now, so we don't have to figure it out, but probably a week or so before, I will ask for volunteers to make sure we don't miss any counts in here!
