Happy Saturday Folks! Waiting for the snow and ice to start today. We might see an inch of snow today and some ice behind it. We just had a day in the 60's last week, the weather is wild right now. We are getting more snow on Tuesday/Wednesday and it might be a bigger one. Early calls right now are 3 to 6 inches!

You can see on the counts above that we are very close to a big milestone and within striking distance of another. I'm talking about 50 DAYS TO SPOOKY SPRING, which will be here on MONDAY, and 200 DAYS TO THE BERS, which will arrive on THURSDAY. Folks, those are big ones.

I remember when we had three counts that were well over 300 days, it wasn't that long ago. We've got 4 counts left that are in the 200's, and we are getting ready to see one of those go into the 100's in less than a week. We'll see TWO MORE counts leave the 200's next month. Before Spring is here, we will have only ONE count that is still in the 200's. That's really mind boggling if you think about it. Like I always say, Time marches on!

Evening Halloween Fans! I hope you are all doing well. It's turning into a very laid back weekend here. I was going to visit my friend but he was going to take a ride on his own. I feel it. Good Morning Halloween Friends! Super Bowl Sunday is here. It really does feel like a holiday. We're getting close to big milestones here once again. My "Baby #2" count has now entered single digits on the way down to 100 days. Holy cow. And tomorrow will be 50 DAYS TO SPOOKY SPRING. Later down the road 200 DAYS TO THE BERS will arrive on Thursday. What a preview to the weekend.

My prediction for tonight - I think the Chiefs get the three-peat. The Eagles are the better team on paper but I just don't see them overcoming KC and everything else. I hope I'm wrong though!

Evening Halloween Fans! Our little Sunday group that does something almost every Sunday throughout the year (even small times like today just brunch) have a schedule we make. Happy Milestone Monday Folks! It's a big one as you can see that our long-awaited SPOOKY SPRING is now just 50 days away. And I decided that I am going to start putting together my Spooky Spring plans now that we've hit 50 days. I want to be able to have everything ironed out in March so that all I have to do is just sort of sit and wait for kick-off weekend, the same thing I do in late September when you start seeing Halloween movies begin to dot the lineup.

Our next milestone will be on THURSDAY when we hit only 200 DAYS TO THE BERS!

Happy Tuesday folks! We're crawling inch by inch to the holiday weekend. Monday is behind us now and we're moving on. FINALLY under 50 days on the Spooky Spring count. I'm a week away from hitting the 100 day milestone on Baby #2, which could still end up being under/over on actual days. But the next big milestone will be the 200 DAYS TO THE BERS which will be here Thursday. That's going to be a big one folks, to see that count down in the 100's starting on Friday.

Snow is supposed to arrive later this morning. 3-6 inches predicted. Then on Wednesday night into Thursday morning, it's supposed to be an ice storm again. Winter is certainly making a last stand.

Evening Halloween Fans! It was another crazy day at work but I also had to leave early for the dentist. My bi-annual checkup. No cavities so that's good news. X-rays looked good they said. Next appointment planned for August 12th...think about all the Halloween stuff out at that point. Happy Halloween!

Happy Wednesday, Folks! At long last it's Wednesday again, which might be my next favorite day of the week obviously other than Friday.

You can see on our counts above that we are standing on the doorstep now to the 200 DAYS TO THE BERS milestone. That is indeed going to be a big one, and for me personally one of my biggest and most-anticipated milestones of the countdown year.

You know the counts that can stay out there for a long time? Our days to October and Halloween counts. It's funny because "Days to Halloween" seems like it is the most resilient out of all of the counts. Still hanging in the upper 200's. That's one we really don't want to wish away, not even me. And everybody knows that by the time we reach October, time feels like it is flowing like sand in an hourglass!

We got about 4 inches of snow, so I'm off now to use the snowblower to open up the driveway and shovel out the cars. Work doesn't open today until 11:00, and there is still a chance it closes. Have a great day!

Yesterday would have been a perfect Halloween day and night. It was misty and foggy all day long. Kinda spooky.

I found the Butterbeer Hershey’s Kisses, finally. CVS, the breaker of all street dates, has them mixed in with their Easter candy.

I liked these even better than the fudge stripe cookies. The butterscotch flavor is there, but there’s a yummy vanilla cream in the center that keeps it from being too overwhelming. If you’ve ever tasted the butterbeer at Universal Studios, the cream is like the white foam on top. Overall, I give them a 9/10.
