Hello Halloween Fans! I am here excited about OUR weekend coming up. It's pretty awesome that Halloween is on a Saturday this year. Although kind of cool next year it will be on a Sunday. Maybe I'll make it a 3-day Halloweekend next year. Happy Halloween!

Good Morning Halloween Friends! It's 41 hours from the time of this writing until HALLOWEEN 2026!

I saw this graphic this morning and had to share. This is absolutely my house here. Sunday Morning we'll probably be putting up Christmas lights and decorations.

Finally, the weekend is almost here. It's kind of felt like a long week!

I hope everyone has a great day!

Good Morning Pumpkin People! It's our final day before Halloween here. Halloween-Eve, if you will.

I think even though October went by nice and slow, Halloween still snuck up on me like it always does.

I have the rough outline of the "new" 2027 Halloween Thread all ready to go. Obviously stuff can be changed on the fly as needed, but I'm pretty well locked in and I'm excited for the changes in 2027.

I hope everyone has a great Halloween Eve!

Hello Halloween Fans! It's Halloween Eve as our leader SS stated. I have my Michael Myers mask at work like I do every year. It's an amazing day here and has a Thanksgiving Eve feeling to me. Thank you SS for this thread. I promise to be more committed to it in the 2027 thread. Happy Halloween!

Happy Halloween, Friends! We're up early today. Almost feels like Christmas. Abby woke up a few minutes before 6AM and immediately told me Happy Halloween! She was disappointed because she thought you could wake up and trick or treat just like we wake up early on Christmas Morning. I told her we have to wait until this evening.

We have a full day ahead of us. I mentioned that I'm going to be making some changes to the thread beginning with the 2027 thread that will launch TOMORROW, November 1st, 2026. This is the first year I have not put up the new thread on Halloween night, because I feel like, with Halloween getting an "extra" hour because of Daylight Savings Time this year, putting up the new thread tonight would be like sort of calling time on Halloween early.

So tonight I will be back and we can hopefully share our thoughts on what Halloween Season 2026 was like for all of us, and then the new thread will go live tomorrow morning, firmly in the "Halloween Afterglow".

Happy Halloween, Pumpkin People!

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!!

We are busy putting the finishing touches on the house for our Halloween Party tonight! I am taking a quick sandwitch break and watching Charlie Brown!

I love that we are having the party on Halloween this year! It really adds something to the party and is a great way to wrap up Halloween!

I hope everyone has a wonderful and spooky Halloween!

Hello Halloween Fans! I can't believe we have arrived at the big day. I guess it's the "big night" for many as trick or treaters and candy eaters will probably be doing that more at night per tradition. A very special feeling though today. I'll post some thoughts on this season tonight. This season really reminded me how this time of year is still my favorite #1. Happy Halloween!

Good evening, friends. It's Halloween here at Grove Manor: The pumpkin is lit, and I'm sitting in the darkened living room with my tablet in hand and hot chocolate by my side, waiting for trick or treaters who'll probably never come.

I've never come to terms with the contemporary Halloween celebration of movie monsters and gruesome stomach churning horror. At this time of year my old Celtic roots kick in and evoke the old Samhain festival, half way between summer and winter, when the light is failing and the spirits of the dead try to slip back into this realm and roam around. No, I've never seen one; but I imagine them swirling about, carrying on their backs the recollections, the spirits, and the Spirit of the holidays. The jack-o'-lantern is supposed to ward off these visitors, but at our house it's a sign that says, "Magic welcome here."

Seems like I've sat in this spot and typed this message several times in previous years. And that sameness, that turning around of the wheel of the year, is part of the beauty.

Happy Halloween, MMC Friends. Happy Holidays Begin.

Evening Halloween Friends! We're back from trick or treating. My heart is full.

Jason made it almost to the very end before he got fussy. Abby, as expected, wanted "more" when we were all done. We literally have a mountain of candy on the kitchen table.

A few houses even gave me full size candy bars. I figure that with Abby being 4 and Jason turning 2 next year, I have at least the next 7 years of "Halloween Prime", hopefully the next 10 years, but I know that's probably overly optimistic.

Halloween will still continue here for a few more hours, and I can tell you that I am honestly excited to start the new thread tomorrow. I have a lot of new things I will be doing. I absolutely believe that I can still keep Christmas Season and Christmas itself special, and deserving of all the love that we can give it, while still keeping my focus / energy on Halloween 2027. I'm certainly going to try.

My Halloween Season this year was nothing short of amazing. In fact, I feel right now that this one might have been my greatest since I was young. Halloween Season is always special to me because it makes me remember meeting my wife, who I met on Halloween Night in 2026. I am excited for the future in this thread, and also excited to take the first steps towards Christmas tomorrow.

From my family to yours, HAPPY HALLOWEEN!

Hello Halloween Fans! I want to thank SS because without him this thread wouldn't be as awesome as it has been. I want to thank him for influencing me to start my first ever "Bers Preseason" in the middle of August. It literally gave me mentally 2.5 months to be in the Fall/Halloween Season. I also LOVE reading your post there SS about how you have another 7-10 big Halloweens in front of you with the kids. I envy you and am living through you and your words since I didn't have kids. But I went out tonight as always with my siblings and a friend and we got the "Halloween" feel. My friend (yes an adult) went up and got some candy. And of course, I took a few pieces. Loved seeing the kids out having fun. For me, this has been the best Fall/Halloween Season of my life. I'm thankful to everyone here and I look forward to the new thread and new features. I promise to do better myself at concentrating more on Fall/Halloween all year long (yes even through the Christmas Season). I'm excited for the magic and moments of the holiday season that can't be beat but this season of Fall/Halloween will always be my #1 in my heart all year long. See you all in the new thread. Happy Halloween!

Halloween is officially over here in Ohio. My day didn't really go as planned due to two of my four dogs eating a bunch of tinfoil. I had to induce vomiting in them both, and all is well now. Unfortunately, I didn't get to watch many scary movies either since I kept falling asleep in my recliner. I didn't get much sleep last night, so I was tired by evening. Catching up on a few classics now (It's the Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown) and trying to enjoy the night.
