Thanksgiving 2021 Thread

Happy Valentine's Day! Today is a big day for many reasons. First of all it's Valentine's Day. Secondly, it's a day where I personally start to at least feel like we can see spring coming eventually. And let's look at the biggest reason it's a big day: 284 days till Thanksgiving, 260 days till November, and 199 days till The Bers. If you look at The Bers count you'll see the first ever "1s" count in this thread. How incredible is that? Our next milestone is the 250 Day Marker to November. And the day after that (which is in 11 days) is Tom Turkey Day #3. Yes reasons to be happy here in this thread. Tomorrow is actually a BIG day in this count also folks. Monday...think weekly count to the BEST week of the year. Well you'll see what I'm talking about then. For today just enjoy a relaxing and fun Sunday. Have a great Valentine's Day!​
 
I love seeing 199 until the Bers, but with the current cold front that has settled in here, I am looking forward to Spring and Summer first! It never takes me as long to be ready for the cooler days of Fall once the heat and humidity hit, and I definitely enjoy the weather of the Bers best!

Yeah, could use some warmer weather here. As it stand we're looking to get another potential 6-8" overnight Tuesday. eek. Is what it is I suppose, but looking forward to spring. I really don't like summer cuz of heat, mosquitoes, humidity, mosquitoes and mosquitoes, but it makes me appreciate October all the more.

Happy 2nd Half of February! Yeah we made it into the 2nd half of this month. It's been a heck of a weather month here. A lot of snow, some ice, some rain. Sun? Never heard of that. Warm weather? Not this year in February. But guess what we do have in February here? We have 3 great countdowns. We have 283 days till Thanksgiving, 259 days till November, and 198 days till The Bers. Our next milestone(s) are in 9 and 10 days respectively (the 200 Day Marker to November & Tom Turkey Day #3). But guess what comes right now? What comes today? It's time for the countdown to the best week of the year: Thanksgiving Week. Believe it or not folks we have now reach 40 weeks until Thanksgiving Week. WOW! The end of the 40s! What progress we've made. It's an amazing thing isn't it? Next Monday we'll reach 1/4 of the way to Thanksgiving Week as we hit the 30s. Just unreal. Have a great 2nd Half of February!​

Keep those milestones coming, Edge! I'm loving those counts! We've got a lot to look forward to in the 2nd half of February!
 
I love the Monday counts, it makes the start of each week a bit brighter. A few years ago I read a bunch of books on happiness and a couple of the best tips I picked up were to NOT leave all of the crappy chores until Sunday and to always plan something to look forward to every Monday! Both make a big difference for me!

That Monday is such a special day and that whole week is the best so it's fun to countdown every Monday to the best week of the year!

Happy Furious February! It has been quite the month so far. Terrible weather but hey it's winter. And guess what we still got 3 counts moving forward through the 2nd half of February. They are: 282 days till Thanksgiving, 258 days till November, and 197 days till The Bers. Our next milestone will be the 250 Day Marker to November in 8 days. And 1 day after that we'll celebrate Tom Turkey Day #3 as we once again have Back to Back Milestones! Enough to look forward to? I'd say so. That sounds like a handful of milestones to me. I'm just here typing away and thinking about the amazing times ahead of us. Although we all may have some winter blues this time of year we have everything ahead of us to look forward to the most. Happy February Mid-Week! It's the middle of the week here in the middle of February. And we have 3 counts to get to so let's do that right now. We have 281 days left until Thanksgiving, 257 days remaining until November, and 196 days till to go until The Bers. Our next milestone is actually 1 week from today when we reach the 250 Day Marker to November! Amazing huh? Well just as amazing is the day after that we reach Tom Turkey Day #3 and we will celebrate that milestone with a poll. Back to Back Milestones. Again? We did this once already during this thread. It's a special time for sure. Just trudging along through this month of February keeping things in perspective. Glad we have a long, long, long way to go in our counts still. Have a great February Mid-Week!​

I guess it's because maybe it is February, but the Holidays now feel far off to me. 2020 Holidays, that is. I'm not missing really any of them "bad" at the moment, but I know that with the arrival of Spring, "The Feels" will grab me again when Christmas Hunting starts and then I'll be missing my Bers and those last 4 months terribly. It's always such a good feeling when it comes. On a side note, we've talked with the family about the "Halfsgiving / Halfway Thanksgiving" and everyone is on board. So that's now just a few months off, incredibly.

Same. This is the time of year when I kind of settle into a "comfort zone" and really don't think about missing the holidays too much. After Easter is over I usually begin to get restless and start wishing for time to fast-forward. Christmas Hunting definitely helps in that regard.
