DAYS TILL THANKSGIVING: 345
DAYS TILL NOVEMBER: 321
DAYS TILL THE BERS: 260

Happy 10 Days Till Christmas! Does that sound amazing? No, we don't do the Christmas Countdown here but that is such a huge # and it's really indicating we're in the home stretch to Christmas. Thankfully, we have a lot more time than that till OUR time(s) of year. They are the following statistically: 345 days till Thanksgiving, 321 days till November, and 260 days till The Bers. Well we are now under 1 week until our next milestone which is the arrival of winter. That will be a big one in 6 days but we are less than that until an impending potential snowstorm. We may get hit with a significant snow before winter ever arrives officially. That might be a good time to light up the oven and cook a turkey. Tempting isn't it? Have a great 10 Days Till Christmas!

I love snow events during "Christmas Season". I consider "Christmas Season" any time from when the lights go up, until they come down around the 2nd week of January. The snow just looks so beautiful against the backdrop of snow and Christmas decorations. One of the big reasons that I get "tired of winter" following Christmas, is that if it doesn't snow, I just want it move on to the next season, so that I can get on with my Christmas countdown. But if we get frequent storm events, then the spirit sort of stays with me much longer. I remember around here the winter of 2013-2014, it snowed almost once every two weeks, it felt like. It was magical!

Some turkey, stuffing, gravy, and potatoes sound so good right now.
345 days now, huh? I don't know that I can make it that long.

Loving the Monday weekly count!

Since COVID derailed our Christmas dinner plans, we will do a "food exchange" with my parents. They are cooking the ham and a turkey breast, and we are cooking the sides. At some point on Christmas day we will swap some food around (while outfitted in masks) so each of us gets a complete Christmas dinner.

Hopefully by Thanksgiving 2021 we'll be sharing a meal together in the same location, sans masks!

Happy Middle Day of December! We're in the hardcore Christmas Season but here in this thread we all wonder how far are we to The Bers? And what about to November? And what about to Thanksgiving? Well I'm glad you asked those questions because I have the answers to them. We have 344 days till Thanksgiving, 320 days till November, and 259 days till The Bers. Our next milestone? I'm glad you were going to ask that too! I have that answer as well as that will happen in 5 days on Monday when we reach the arrival of winter! That'll be the start of our 3 season trek back to Autumn. Ahh what an Autumn it has been hasn't it? Tomorrow is Thursday and I'll be here with a bi-weekly poll for you all. CW delivered last Thursday so it's my turn this Thursday. Turkey lovers unite here in this thread for it. And be here every day for the trotting towards turkey year long journey we are on. Have a great Middle Day of December!

Wow, I just realized that 250 day milestone to the Bers will be on Christmas Day. That's amazing. I have never really counted down to the Bers prior to January.

But I'm glad we do. My "personal" Bers ends after Thanksgiving. Because after that Christmas season and the December vibes everywhere takes over everything. So once Christmas is over and we are in January, i'm raring for The Bers again that I am used to (Sept - November).

It's funny...last night I was randomly thinking about the Thanksgiving Day Parade and how disappointed I was with it this year. My thoughts spun off into how much better it would be in 2021, but it just goes to show you how even with less than two weeks until Christmas, my mind is always thinking of all of the Bers holidays. I think I've collectively married September - December together in my head.

I can only dream of what the New Years Eve will be like this year. Another disaster in the making.

Yes I agree. Sept-Nov really is the heart of The Bers. It's different than the Christmas Season (but both are awesome).

As long as I'm home and comfortable it will be great...I never would like being out in those crowds. But I know what you mean if they televise it with 3 people in the audience it could be pretty sad or funny depending on your point of view.

DAYS TILL THANKSGIVING: 343
DAYS TILL NOVEMBER: 319
DAYS TILL THE BERS: 258

Happy 2nd Half of December! Wow we moved through more than half a month now. And wow we got a bunch of snow outside. And wow look at these 3 counts: 343 days till Thanksgiving, 319 days till November and 258 days till The Bers. That's 3 countdowns moving along and wowing everyone here in this thread. Our next milestone will come up on Monday right in front of us as we welcome the arrival of winter (even though the snow out there greeted us with the feeling of winter this morning). And it's that Thursday folks...that one we talk about a poll. Here is this Thursday's poll for you all.
Since we have a bunch of snow out there my question to you is involving the weather when it comes to Thanksgiving. It's two-fold though the question. What type of weather do you normally have and what type of weather would you prefer to have for Thanksgiving?
A.) Cold & Snowy
B.) Chilly & Dry
C.) Moderate temps and Sunshine
D.) Rainy

I'm going with B for what we normally have and C for what I prefer to have. I don't want it to be hot but moderate Autumn like temperatures is preferred for me. What about you? Have a great 2nd Half of December!

This is too funny.
Edge, you live in the Northeast and normally have B and want C.
I live in the Southeast and normally have C and want B. :p
I would love to have A, but that would be highly unlikely here.

I am with Edge, B&C. I like a chilly day but enough that it is not freezing if you go outside!
