DAYS TILL THANKSGIVING: 358
DAYS TILL NOVEMBER: 335
DAYS TILL THE BERS: 274

Happy Farewell To November! Today folks we have 358 days remaining until Thanksgiving, 335 days to go until November and 274 days left until The Bers. Our first milestone of the thread will be TOMORROW folks when we welcome in the amazing month of December. AMAZING. Well I’ve got a poll for you today as we make the big cross from November into December for our first poll of the new thread!

What’s the better month November or December?

  • November
  • December
  • It’s a tie. I can’t choose between them.
  • I prefer another month of the year over November & December.
  • The way this question is worded is key for me. I’m going with C. I think it’s a tie just saying which is “better?” They’re both equally amazing. If I had added the word “Overall” I’d pick November because of the December 26 – December 31-time period where everything is ending. But I love both of these last 2 months so much. And you all know how I feel about October. Love the 4th quarter. Which month would you choose? Well turkey fans we keep trotting along in the early stages still of our Happy Holidays time period. Let’s enjoy it and start it off with just enjoying today. Have a great Farewell To November!
I think it is a tie, too. I think December would have the Edge (no pun intended), if it weren't for that awful last week from December 26th - December 31st!

While both months are great, I still have to give the edge to December. November would be a little ho-hum if it weren't for December. But December can stand on its own. I go back to my litmus test of "If you had to, which month could you live without?" And I could live without November but not December.

But please don't take away my November. I love it too!

Again, @Rich's logic wins out here. Truthfully I love them both, and I wouldn't want to lose either of them, but I've got to stick with December. Imagine if November had all of that build up and then...just nothing.

December. I love November too but the three week vacation in December makes the Holiday season so great. I just enjoy it and am glad I have the ability to do it at this point in life. As you know unfortunately that may not always be the case so I appreciate and enjoy ever minute of it I can.

DAYS TILL THANKSGIVING: 357
DAYS TILL NOVEMBER: 335
DAYS TILL THE BERS: 274

Happy December Arrives! Today folks we have 357 days remaining until Thanksgiving, 335 days left until November, and 274 days to go until The Bers. Our first milestone of this thread is here folks. Believe it or not we have reached the Arrival Of December and the arrival of our 11-month journey back to November begins TODAY. How do you feel about THAT? I feel awesome about it. We move along in our Happy Holidays and see our next milestone? It won’t be for 20 days folks (that’s a long time between milestones) and it will be the Arrival Of Winter as we begin our 3-season journey back to our favorite season of Autumn. And the day after that folks? It’s Tom Turkey Day #1. Back to Back milestones. Wow. But right now it’s Thursday so let’s do our new favorite weekly segment “Thanksgiving Thought Thursday!”

Thanksgiving is the one holiday that has always (and should always) be on the same day of the week (Thursday).

It’s why we started this “Thanksgiving Thought Thursday” in last year’s thread (the last 2 months or so). Thursdays are special. Think about it. Name any other holiday and does it matter what day of the week it’s celebrated? Most holidays move between different days of the week (even Christmas) and the ones that don’t (Labor/Memorial etc.) don’t really need to be on a Monday. It wouldn’t matter to me if they moved it to a Friday for instance. But Thanksgiving? It just HAS to be on a Thursday. On Thursdays I think about Thanksgiving just a little bit extra than normal. What do you think about that? Have a great December Arrives!

100% Agree. Thanksgiving not being on a Thursday would be weird and would feel so dramatically different.

I'm so glad we don't have to worry about that, though!

I like Thanksgiving is on a Thursday. It's been a two-day paid holiday everywhere I've worked. You gotta love that!

I 100% agree and would not want to change it. I love the two day holiday. I can understand those who do not get off either one or two of those days may feel different of course. I personally think it should be a 2 day holiday and everyone should have them off except obviously for the very essential jobs. I am going to guess for those companies that only give off Thursday get very little production on Friday especially since many probably use vacation days if they can.
