I have to go with "C" on this one. And BTW, I tried to get back on here yesterday afternoon to post some pictures, but it just didn't happen.

I'm gonna try and contribute to picture Tuesday, it really hits me in the "feels" seeing this stuff shared.

50 weeks out, what a long way to go. What a fun ride it is going to be!

There should be a middle option that says, "Thanksgiving Eve is linked to Thanksgiving almost as much, but not quite as close, as Christmas Eve is linked to Christmas."

I love Thanksgiving Eve, and I love it more and more each year. The excitement I feel on that day is quite possibly second only to Christmas Eve (although September 1st might be a contender also). Christmas Eve still takes the crown for me, though.

I can not tell you how many YouTube videos I have watched showing how to debone a whole turkey and make my own stuffed turkey roll. Any advice on a good tutorial? Or, on a scale of 1-10 how difficult would you say it is to do? I am one of the people that pays for the convenience because I am not confident in my own skills to do it. To give you an idea of my "skill" level, I have cut up a whole chicken.
Maybe start on a whole chicken for practice. It also works better if you use like a 6" or 8" fillet knife. Cut off your legs and wings and start from the bottom. Follow the carcass around...thats about all there is to it.

DAYS TILL THANKSGIVING: 350
DAYS TILL NOVEMBER: 328
DAYS TILL THE BERS: 267

Happy Christmas Countdown! Today folks we have 350 days remaining until Thanksgiving, 328 days to go until November and 267 days left until The Bers. Our next milestones will be in less than 2 weeks when we welcome in the Arrival Of Winter and begin our 3-season journey back to the most wonderful season of all (autumn of course). And the following day which is 2 weeks from today we will welcome in Tom Turkey Day #1. Indeed we do have back to back milestones folks later this month closer to the Christmas holiday. What a special time of year it is right? It’s a great time of year and truly awesome as we continue in our Happy Holidays portion of this thread for the entire month of December (and the entire rest of the year). Today is Thursday folks so it’s main event time with our most popular weekly theme that we do only on Thursdays “Thanksgiving Thought Thursday.” See below!

Thanksgiving is the one day of the year that instantly changes things. There is no other day of the year that does.

It amazes me how we get to Thanksgiving Eve and then go to bed, wake up and everything changes on Thanksgiving. Seriously…look where we are. No other day of the year can do that. Not even Christmas Day can change an entire season the way Thanksgiving has. Not September 1. Not Halloween. Not Easter. Not any other day. Maybe that’s just another reason I started this thread years ago. Now folks this is our last chance to say this but we continue with our “50-week” theme here as 50 weeks from today is Thanksgiving Day. I know the 50s don’t last long so it may not seem like a big deal but this just shows you how already we have moved 2 weeks since Thanksgiving Day. Have a great Christmas Countdown!

100% agree about going to bed on Thanksgiving night and everything being different the next day.

IMO, the only other day that has a similar "change" feeling, is September first, and I dare say maybe the night of August 31st.

By the time December 1st happens, much of the world is already decorated for Christmas, with all of your shops and stores, etc... But reaching Thanksgiving day, yes, 100% different feeling on that day.

Have a great day!

I agree with this Thursday Thanksgiving thought. Thanksgiving itself just has an entirely different feel to it.

I'd say maybe for me personally the only other day like that is September 1st, but even then the change is not as drastic, and we've already had a lot of Fall stuff show up in the "preseason" month of August.

Thanksgiving Eve gets bigger and bigger every year for me. I can’t wait to go to bed that night, knowing that in the morning everything begins.

Yes, September 1 is a huge transformation day mentally. It is one of the biggest on the calendar for me. But I feel Thanksgiving eve is more special and a bit bigger.

Maybe that is a project for the week after Christmas! But hanks for the advise!

My thought is what is the worst that can happen. You make a mess of it and you can still cook it. I bet you will do great!
Very true! I am thinking it might be something for the week after Christmas!

DAYS TILL THANKSGIVING: 349
DAYS TILL NOVEMBER: 327
DAYS TILL THE BERS: 266

Happy Frosty Friday! Today folks we have 349 days remaining until Thanksgiving, 327 days left until November and 266 days to go until The Bers. As we have mentioned for many days now our next 2 milestones will fall to back in 12 days (Arrival Of Winter) and 13 days (Tom Turkey Day #1). This is all happening as we continue through our Happy Holidays portion of this thread. A very fun and happy holiday season to all of you I hope. And I hope you are enjoying it as much as I am thus far. And of course, my thoughts folks are with Thanksgiving. I know. I’m in love with the holiday season but I can’t help but think back to Thanksgiving…and ahead to it too. And everything amazing about it. And what we experienced in November (and the weekend before Thanksgiving). And what we experienced Thanksgiving Week (and of course Thanksgiving EVE)…and yeah Thanksgiving Day too obviously. So much amazing stuff there was and I’m glad we got to experience it all together. Now it’s Friday so we get our 3 day break here. I’m actually off today so I have a 3-day weekend to try to get some more Christmas preparations ready (buying a few more gifts, wrapping, errands, etc.). It’s a wonderful time of year even for turkeys. And still we have football on t.v. which is great to see. Keep it real my turkey friends. Keep those Thanksgiving Thoughts in your head and enjoy them daily here in this thread. Have a great Frosty Friday!
