DAYS TILL THE BERS: 42
Happy Jumpy July! Today folks we move along and see that we have 129 days remaining until Thanksgiving, 103 days left until November and 42 days to go until The Bers. We move along in our Summer Sweatfest with our next milestone(s) arriving on Thursday. They will be the 100-Day Marker till November and Tom Turkey Day #8. 2 big milestones on one bigger day. Isn’t that going to be exciting? If you ask me, the answer is plainly yes. It’s Monday folks so time for our Weekly Countdown till Thanksgiving Week. It stands at 18 weeks. Woohoo. I love being in the teens although I don’t miss my teen years. Those weren’t always the best. But you are all the best and thanks for being here to start a new week with me. I’m off today and Friday so only a 3-day work week for me. I’m too used to shorter weeks now. Turkey friends I hope you are all doing well and enjoying your time on this Monday. Maybe pick up a special lunch today or do something fun. Or think of Tom Turkey for a few minutes. My mind has been really set on the summer and also The Bers lately. But I guess that is pretty normal for me. I am a little tired of the humidity but today we have another break in it so enjoying it for the day. Have a great Jumpy July!

Big 100 Day milestone coming this week! I've been thinking about The Bers too, later this week our Bers count will enter into the 30's! That's exciting!
It has been a miserable hot, humid, and rainy summer. Local people where I live say that it hasn't been this rainy in almost 50 years. I believe it. We have had something like 5 or 6 weekends in a row where it has rained at least one of the days.
Honestly looking forward a little bit, I'm not sure what this means for our chances of a snowy / busy winter. All this moisture isn't going to just go away, and within a few months we will have temps low enough at night to make for snow / ice / freezing rain. It will be one to watch for sure...

Happy July Heat! Today folks we move along and see that we have 128 days remaining until Thanksgiving, 102 days left until November and 41 days to go until The Bers. Our next milestone will be a double-header actually as we reach the 100-Day Marker till November on Tom Turkey Day #8 on Thursday. We move along in our Summer Sweatfest with it being Tuesday which means it is time for Picture Day. Yes, Tuesday always means picture day so definitely send in some of your favorite fall photos (and Thanksgiving photos as well). This has become one of the more popular days in this thread over the last few years and we continue that tradition today here on this Tuesday. Turkey friends I hope you are all doing well and enjoying your week so far. It was a good day off here although nothing special on Monday. I really used it to do simple stuff but sometimes you have to utilize that extra time to get things done and also to just relax a bit. I hope everyone is doing well this Tuesday. We just reached the hottest time of year here our local weather guy said. The top of the mountain sort of like how in late January you reach the lowest temperatures of the year. It’s a long way to go downhill but in due time summer heat and humidity will at least ease up. Have a great July Heat!

I’m still planning on smoking my own turkey at home this year, though.
I hope my turkey doesn’t end up looking like this…
This will be our 3rd year of smoking a turkey...yours will come out great. We do one in the oven and one on the smoker...everyone always loves them.
