Happy February Teens! Today folks we move along and see that we have 287 days remaining until Thanksgiving, 261 days left until November and 200 days to go until The Bers. We move along in our Winter Wonderland with our next milestone arriving today. Oh, did I mention TODAY? It’s the 200-Day Marker till The Bers. Friends, our next milestone is the 250-Day Marker till November. Uhhh yeah, we all love November, don’t we? We move along with our Thanksgiving Thought Thursday below!

Some people feel stuck in winter right now. Others feel stuck in summer when it’s here and it’s hot/humid. It becomes oppressive to deal with. But you still try to make the most of it. And then you wind up realizing hey it’s not so bad. You must enjoy all the times of the year. But have you ever heard anyone being “stuck in autumn?” Not anyone at MMC!

Autumn is the one time of year I think most of us would love to live all year long. But then again if we did then we probably wouldn’t enjoy it as much as we do when it’s here. Turkey friends I hope your week is going well. It’s been another busy one here but onward we go into Thursday now. Another day here in February. Have a great February Teens!​

They all go hand in hand together. The weather brings that chill and the colorful landscape that announces the upcoming Thanksgiving Holiday is fast approaching. The weekend before Welcomes the Thanksgiving Holiday as people are busy shopping for the big feast and travelers are preparing. The week of Thanksgiving is filled with Excitement, last minute preparation, traditions and that wonderful meal spent with those we hold dear. Thanksgiving weekends gives a chance to recap, enjoy those leftovers, see family and friends off and Welcome the Christmas Season with open arms!

Thanksgiving Was Originally a Day of Fasting, Not Feasting

I hope everyone thinks about that for a minute. A day of fasting? Or fatting? I’m wondering. Rich, I don’t imagine us fasting on Thanksgiving Day. Can you imagine? Although I did fast 2 years ago when I got my infamous Thanksgiving Flu. I ate 3 olives and a bite of turkey. Turkey friends I hope you are all doing well and enjoying your week so far. A big holiday weekend ahead for some. I’m taking off Monday and Tuesday but don’t worry, not from this thread. When do I ever take off from this thread? Turkey friends the best to you on this Friday. Happy President’s Day Weekend! Today folks we move along and see that we have 285 days remaining until Thanksgiving, 259 days left until November and 198 days to go until The Bers. We move along in our Winter Wonderland with our next milestone arriving in 9 days. It will be the 250-Day Marker till November. We begin our Quiet Weekend Period with Part 1 on Saturday as always. After a busy week it’s fun to just chill out and relax here in this thread. And we have a stormy weekend here. We have snow coming today on Saturday and rain coming tomorrow on Sunday. Not a nice weather weekend. But it’s a holiday weekend for some so enjoy it if you can. I’ve taken off Monday/Tuesday to get a break. Need a little Winter Break or my own version of it. Turkey friends the best to you on this Saturday. And thanks for stopping here on the weekend. You are all awesome and I appreciate the daily posts from you. It’s been quite a winter here so far but that’s all good signs for the things we need to enjoy coming forward with spring, summer, fall and the holiday season. I get the most out of winter that I can. I just hope when spring arrives the weather will turn also (or maybe sooner). Happy President’s Day Eve! Today folks we move along and see that we have 284 days remaining until Thanksgiving, 258 days left until November and 197 days to go until The Bers. We move along in our Winter Wonderland with our next milestone arriving in 1 week + 1 day. It will be the 250-Day Marker till November. We move along in our Quiet Weekend Period Part 2. I know it’s a 3-day weekend for many but in this thread we don’t have 3-day weekends. We have only our normal weekend every weekend and then our 5 days of topics. That’s how we roll in this thread. And I think it suits it perfectly. A nasty weather weekend here. Snow and ice Saturday. Sunday? Rain and wind. I do realize though this winter we’re having will only make us love the spring, summer and fall weather we receive this year even more than usual. Turkey friends I hope your weekend is going well. We are going out to an early dinner and then heading home to relax. I think this time of year makes me want to relax more than any other time of the entire year. Turkey friends the best to you and I hope you gobble till you wobble. Last Sunday we kind of did during Superbowl Sunday. Happy Sunday! We're getting ready for another big snow storm here that's supposed to start on Wednesday. Hearing 9-12 inches with some forecasts saying 16" here in the mountains. We will see.

It sure seems that after that initial lull of nice weather to begin February, Winter is making a last stand.

Honestly, I'm mentally ok with having one last big snow storm, since we are so close to Spring. Have a great Sunday!

Happy President’s Day! Today folks we move along and begin a brand new week with the counts looking as follows: 283 days remaining until Thanksgiving, 257 days to go until November, and 196 days left until The Bers. We move along in our Winter Wonderland now 1 week away from our next milestone which will be the 250-Day Marker till November. Folks believe it or not it’s Monday and this is a big one. Now we do our Weekly Countdown till Thanksgiving Week as always but guess what? It stands now at 40 weeks. WOW! We complete the 40s this week friends. That’s the hardest part of the count, in my humble opinion. I think the ride is just about to start getting more fun again friends but for now let’s just focus on today. Turkey friends I hope you are doing well and enjoy the day off if you have it. I’m going to the mall. The mall always makes me think of the holidays all year long. And I truly love it for that. Turkey friends the best to you on this Monday as we begin a brand new week. And I hope your February is going ok so far. We have had a stormy February here but nothing we can’t handle. It’s just been more of a normal winter this year. A cold January and a stormy February. Turkey friends enjoy it. Have a great President’s Day!​

We made a second Thanksgiving feast yesterday! It hit the spot. We have a whole lot of extra turkey so that is getting turned into turkey salad for this week too.
