YUMMY YUMMY YUMMY

All of those desserts sound absolutely scrumptious!!!!! I love the thought of bourbon pecan pie. Pecan pie is one of my favorites. I had Pecan Pie flavored coffee this morning! The molasses pumpkin pie sounds good to. I'm quite impressed by your list of yummies EW. I think I might have to crash turkey day at your Mom's!!!

Please tell me more about the Chocolate Chestnut cake. I have never heard about that and it sounds like it would be right up my alley.

What are sandtarts???? Tell me PLEASE!!!

I will be making a pumpkin cake roll and probably my white chocolate cranberry cheesecake bars.

Speaking of pears and camembert....Did you ever cook pears in salt? I saw a recipe for this and I wondered if anyone has ever tried this.

i dont understand about the pears and salt question. you mean encased in salt like you can do fish??

sand tarts are aka mexican wedding cookies. this recipe was given me by my father's aunt mabel when i was 10 or so. first thing i ever made that didnt involve an easy-bake oven!

chestnut chocolate layer cake is from an old martha stewart living. i have just fiddled with the original recipe a bit. it is really pretty easy. i think you can probably find it on her website. it is basically a 2 layer chocolate cake with roasted and candied chestnuts. a layer of pastry cream between and ganache on top.

i love the pumpkin cake roll! i have a recipe from a bon appetit from 20 something years ago that is a little bit diff than the libby's one. call if you want that recipe.

The pear recipe was in the October Martha Stewart magazine. It is called Salt-roasted pears with caramel sauce. YUM

will go have a looksee.

Sweet potato pie with french vanilla cool whip on top, pecan pie and probably a banana pudding. I'm gonna make some pumpkin bread the week of Thanksgiving so I'm sure there will be some of it left too.

Just bought a supply of french vanilla cool whip, last year stores here ran out of it just before Thanksgiving

I will make pumpkin bread (you're welcome sis!) but this year I am gonna try it with Splenda instead of sugar. I actually had it last year with Splenda and to me it tasted better.

The wife votes "sweet potato pie." The following piece of pie is unknowingly within seconds of death.

Nah, you are cool. I eat the bread only, not a huge fan of the pie.

Can you think of anything that isn't improved with cool whip? Even meatloaf tastes better with cool whip.

Maybe with some cool whip but I would prefer to put it on my cheesecake.
