never had fig pudding, it it tastes like a fig newton then I'd like it.

mmm Fig Newtons...............

figgy pudding is a steamed pudding. not pudding like we americans consider pudding to be... not custard-y.

it is delish. it is a lot like the traditional steamed plum pudding. i have a great recipe and if i get a second wind... will go pull the recipe given me my dear friend in GB and post it for yall.

xo

well I've had traditional Christmas pudding, grandma has a mold and steams the pudding for hours and hours.

The desserts We'll be serving this thanksgiving are pecan pie, pumpkin pie, key lime pie, Cinnamon bread, pumpkin bread, banana nut bread, bread pudding, and white chocolate macadamia nut cookies. Of course, we'll have coffee, cappuccino, egg nog, and cocoa to go along with the desserts.

ok, we start putting up the Christmas tree at noon, and have finger foods untill 4:30 when we'll be eating. Everyone's invited.

finger food...ever form a scoop with your palms and shovel it in? oh me neither

you sound like all of the men in my family...lol. We women grab a couple of carrots and some dip or a little finger sandwich every so often but the men load up their plates like that's the big meal they've been waiting all day for. And then they eat at least 3 plates of food when we actually sit down for dinner...lol.

You sound like you have a really wonderful Thanksgiving. I remember the big ones we used to have and long for them every year. *sigh*

Thanksgiving is Great with my family. This is the year that we go with my hubbys side of the family on Thanksgiving day but on Saturday we're haveing my parents and little brother over to our apartment for festivities and christmas decorating. The party at my house won't have many people but it will be great!!! LOTS OF FOOD!

oh, my hubby told me to tell everyone that anyone can stop by our apartment on Saturday the 25th...as long as you're here by 4:30 and bring a bottle of soda. :-D
