Good Morning, Friends.
Well Folks, things just did NOT go as planned at the beach, to say the least!
We arrived fine Friday evening but about 11:00 PM or so, I began developing stomach pain. This had happed a couple of times before and went away. It didn't this time. I was awake all night long. Early Saturday morning, my sister drove me to the hospital. After about a 3 hour emergency room wait, I was diagnosed with a damaged gall bladder that needed to be removed immediately. That surgery was done Saturday morning and I was released yesterday morning in time for our trip home.
Such is life. At least I won't have to worry about that problem in the future!
The cause? The doctor could not say.
(Not from drinking too much coffee, that's for sure.)
Of course, not everything got done that needed to be so we will likely return the weekend after next which is fine since our first renters do not arrive until June 20.
OK!
Thanks a mint, Minta, for your dependable continuation of our count which as of today is:
Days to the Season: 165
Days to Christmas Day: 207
One week from today! The 200-day Christmas Day window.
(The count sure moves fast when you are gone - even if you're in a hospitall bed!)
Overcast here in Raleigh where rain is possible all week.
We stand at 74 degrees currently.
Have a Terrific Tuesday, Everyone!
