Turkeys may be the kindest thing those kinds of drivers get calledDAYS TILL THANKSGIVING: 50
DAYS TILL NOVEMBER: 26
Happy Mid-Week October! We have a major milestone today folks (aren’t they all major though?). And that is very obvious in the countdown above. We have 50 days remaining until Thanksgiving and 26 days to go until November. Our next milestone? It’s the November Home Stretch which will happen in 16 days. We have plenty of time for that milestone obviously. That’s a lot of days. That’s a ton of days. And we all can be patient for that one. It will be hard to even think about approaching November. That’s not something I’m ready for. I’m ready for a good day today though. And yeah we have slammed the brakes here in this thread. That’s the point. But if you ride the brakes all the way then hopefully you don’t have to slam them. I’m not sure how that works with driving skills though. Riding your brakes probably kills them. Imagine if a turkey could drive? I could imagine that. The way some people drive maybe they are turkey’s haha. It’s definitely a good time though to be a turkey fan as we are here in the month of October. We have all the anticipation still in front of us. And we have the enjoyment of a great month of October we’re enjoying so far. And plenty to go. Have a great Mid-Week October!
"Early bird" as in turkey? Pun intended? We are quickly approaching Thanksgiving everyone! Time to get those pesky spices and items that seem to vanish from the stores when you need them the most. I believe we are all set for cookie making season now. Looks like some items will be in short supply now so make sure you are the "Early Bird".
I love thinking that all of the anticipation is in front of us. I have a four day weekend ahead of me and a wienie roast and the Great Pumpkin Hunt, but after this weekend, the focus will be on that glorious week of Thanksgiving! We have all the anticipation still in front of us. And we have the enjoyment of a great month of October we’re enjoying so far. And plenty to go.
Must enjoy it now!Wow. 50 days until Thanksgiving. It is kind of great it is so close but i give pause because time is moving so fast now. Im just trying to enjoy to enjoy it all and take it in.
Enjoy your long weekend!I love thinking that all of the anticipation is in front of us. I have a four day weekend ahead of me and a wienie roast and the Great Pumpkin Hunt, but after this weekend, the focus will be on that glorious week of Thanksgiving!
That sounds delicious!Yesterday while at Mackinac, were stopped for dinner at a restaurant near the bridge. I decided to have Turkey dinner with mashed potatoes, stuffing and gravy. A real mini-Thanksgiving!!! Ready for the real thing!!!
I love October and so far the first week has been wonderful. I am enjoying each day but love knowing that so many wonderful things are ahead!DAYS TILL THANKSGIVING: 49
DAYS TILL NOVEMBER: 25
Happy Week Into October! Today we look above and see our 2 counts looking mighty fine. We have 49 days remaining until Thanksgiving and 25 days to go until November. Our next milestone is the “Home Stretch” to November which will happen in a little over 2 weeks. That’s hard to believe but hey it’s true. That’s why I say you better enjoy October here folks. This is a crucial month in the whole Bers. And it’s something we can’t get back after it’s gone. Fortunately, we have not even been in this month a full week yet. I think October has slowed down just a little bit at least. Maybe it’s my imagination. Or maybe I’m just slowing it down for myself by enjoying the little moments that we have each day. That’s something I have concentrated on extra this month of October thus far. And it’s a great thing and can help you sort of slow down time a bit. Now for all of you turkey lovers who are dreaming of Thanksgiving and November I encourage you to live in October with me. It’s a great month and yes we still have all of those things this thread is about to look forward to all month long. It’s a great thing for sure. Have a great Week Into October!
Oh normally I would have had one. I do have one for next Thursday though!Dang, I missed the final 50 to Thanksgiving by one day. Well at least I'm back in time for the Thursday poll....
Wait, no Thursday poll??
We'll have a poll next Thursday...I'm running out for the year...gotta stretch them a little lol.I have GOT to find me a bird this weekend.
Oh yeah. Where is the poll? Inquiring minds want to know.
I'm glad to hear that you are doing a 2022 Thread. I was just thinking about our Halloween Thread and planning myself to do a 2022 one. Like you, I hope that there is enough interest to keep it going and I also hope to pick up some new followers / posters for 22'. I would miss it if there wasn't a 2022 thread! But like you said we still have a while to go, so nothing to worry about at this time!DAYS TILL THANKSGIVING: 48
DAYS TILL NOVEMBER: 24
Happy October TGIF! We move ahead and see our 2 countdowns continuing to move downward. We have 48 days to go until Thanksgiving and 24 days remaining until November. Our next milestone? It is indeed the “Home Stretch” to November which will happen 2 weeks from today. Yeah, we have the next 2 full weeks to build up to that. No rush in getting there. Lots of “pumping the brakes” references in this thread. Well it’s true. There’s no way to stop time or even slow it. The only way to really slow it a little bit is to enjoy the little things in each day. To me that’s how you get the most out of each day and therefore the days seem a little longer (in a good way) and so do the weeks. It’s been fun doing this thread and we have plenty of time to go. We got a lot of time left in it but I know a few of you will already ask the question “Are you going to do a 2022 Thanksgiving Thread?” I’m planning to unless there isn’t any demand for one but I have to say this year’s thread had more posts and participation than last year’s so I think it definitely has caught on some. I don’t want to think about it at this point because we still have the best part of THIS thread to go so let’s enjoy it. Have a great October TGIF!
