Thanksgiving 2021 Thread

What wonderful gifts! I love that you are giving them on Thanksgiving and can have them up all season long!
 
My excitement is at an 8, I have a couple more tasks that I need to get to before I let myself hit a 9, but it is growing.

That's very sweet and a great way to keep his memory alive.
 
I talked to my sister last night and for reasons that were not revealed due to a bad cell phone connection my extended family's Thanksgiving is back to the Sunday before! I am so relieved and happy that I can start my decorating that night and get a lot of it knocked out on Tuesday and Weds!
 
DAYS TILL THANKSGIVING: 19

Happy November Weekend! Today we have reached our teens folks. What? Not age. I mean the countdown above. We have 19 days remaining until Thanksgiving. I mean what more can I say at this point about that number? Our next milestone and final one before the “big day” is going to be in 9 days from now. It will be when we reach the Home Stretch to Thanksgiving. I know all of you are ready for it and excited as much as I am. And I hope you’re all enjoying the ride we’ve been on together. Is it too soon for me to work on next year’s milestones on the side? Maybe a little. I don’t want to think about next year’s thread yet. We still have plenty of time here in November to soak it all in and enjoy the moments. If these last few weeks and months didn’t teach you to take it all in and enjoy all of the moments then nothing ever will. It’s been a heck of a ride and I am glad to have had all of you on it. And we’ll continue down the November road we’re on together. All you fans of turkey and gravy get aboard the Thanksgiving Train. We’re really on it now and heading right towards the direction we want to go in and the destination will be here soon enough. Have a great November Weekend!​
 
DAYS TILL THANKSGIVING: 18

Happy Week Into November! Today we look up and see our countdown is down to 18 days remaining until Thanksgiving. Uh huh. That’s right. And our next milestone? Guess what? It’s 1 week from tomorrow (that would be in 8 days) when we reach the “Home Stretch” to Thanksgiving. Isn’t that going to be crazy? That’s the final marker we have until Thanksgiving Day folks. I’ll be honest. I’m not ready. But I will be. I think these next 2 weeks the joy of the Thanksgiving Season will take over and I will really feel it. I am just amazed at how it feels like we were celebrating the 4th of July recently and now suddenly we’re heading towards Thanksgiving. I’ve told you this before but the only way to slow down time (somewhat) is to enjoy the little moments of your day. The more things you enjoy (even simple stuff) it will make your day seem more fulfilling and that will make time seem a little longer. Other than that? There’s nothing more we can do because time goes as it will go. Let’s have a ton of fun here folks as we move towards OUR day later this month. I’m hoping you’re all doing well and hanging in there on this Sunday. Have a great Week Into November!​

I agree, Edge! I am not ready right now but knowing that I have 2 weeks before the best week of the year will be here and I want to make sure that I am ready to enjoy it all!
 
DAYS TILL THANKSGIVING: 17

Happy November Week! Folks the countdown above is down to 17 days now. That’s amazing isn’t it? Our next milestone is 1 week from today when we reach the Home Stretch to Thanksgiving. Not much else to say except you better hit the brakes this week. And really take all the excitement in every day. Our Weekly Countdown to Thanksgiving Week is at 2. Yeah. I know. That’s nuts. It has dissipated. But hey we have 2 FULL weeks which you can get ready for it. And that’s still a good amount of time. You want some long weeks right about now don’t you? To let this feeling last that is starting to really build inside all of us. I am so excited for where we are Thanksgiving Fans. We wait a long time for this. I am fully really into Thanksgiving now. And I’ve got a full 2 weeks to soak it all in before “The Big Week” gets here. The more I think about that week the more chills I get. From Monday right through Sunday that week is still my favorite of the year. Each day feels so unique and special to me. I hope you’re all here to enjoy it with us together in this thread. But let’s focus on today and having a good Monday in November. Have a great November Week!​
 
Yesterday when I was visiting bath and body works (Wallflowers are my new favorite obsession), I was happy to see all the holiday plug ins, snowmen, toy soldiers, even Christmas Trees! Looking around, I saw they even had one of a turkey on a platter!

And holy cow not sure what stirred this just now, but looking on the calendar, we gobble gobble in only TWO WEEKS from Thursday!
