Can I change my vote to C? Or a tie?
It's funny. I'm sure if you ask me again next year, my answer may be different. I answer these polls while reflecting on how I feel at the moment. Next time, I may feel different. Next time maybe the pictures will be speaking to me the most. Who knows? But what I do know, is that I love this thread and how it makes me feel every day. Joyful!

DAYS TILL THANKSGIVING: 112
DAYS TILL NOVEMBER: 90
DAYS TILL THE BERS: 29

Happy Early August! Today folks we have 112 days remaining until Thanksgiving, 90 days to go until November, and 29 days left until The Bers. Our next milestone will be in a dozen days. That’s right 12 days from now we’ll arrive at the 100-Day Marker till Thanksgiving. Folks let’s hold on to triple digits here in our Summer Sweatfest (countdown not temps) as long as we can. We have our Thanksgiving Thought Thursday today as usual below!

Certain months I think more about Thanksgiving than others (as with any holiday). May is one of them (halfway). August is another. I think the anticipation of The Bers building all month long without touching them yet is why. I think I may actually think about Thanksgiving more in August than I do in Sept/Oct maybe because I’m so Autumn/Halloween Crazed.

Heck I think about Thanksgiving all year long obviously or I wouldn’t be doing this thread for what our 3rd, 4th year? I lost track lol. But I do think about it a little extra this month of August. Keep it real my turkey friends here in August and give Thanksgiving a little extra thought will ya? Have a great Early August!

I'm with you on thinking about Thanksgiving a lot in the Spring. I think it's been because the past few years we have had "Halfsgiving" or "Friendsgiving" in May which has started the ramp up / anticipation in April. April has a lot of feels as it is because of Spooky Spring and Christmas hunting that has began at that point.

Have a great Thursday! Think those weekend thoughts / vibes. I don't do it too much before 12:00 noon. But then after that, I let it rip. I enjoy completing the Thursday workday with the thought in the back of my mind that "Tomorrow is Friday"! And nothing really gets me down then.

Have a great day! Football later today - Wooohooo!

My Thanksgiving Thought for today:

Football returns to television tonight. It's just preseason football, and it's arguably the most meaningless game all year in the grand scheme of things (the Hall of Fame Game), but I'm still going to be hunkered down in front of my TV watching. Why? Because it's football! And I love football and the Fall vibes it brings. Somehow football has become largely associated with Thanksgiving in my mind, so you can bet that I'll be imagining the Thanksgiving Day games this week and all of the joy that Thanksgiving brings!

Have a happy Thursday!

Same!

My Thanksgiving Thought for today: I am having "extra" extra thoughts-- my eldest sister has added 3 great-grandchildren since last Thanksgiving and I am wondering if one of her daughters will want to break away from the extended family Thanksgiving dinner, we are certainly not centrally located for them. I will understand if they do, especially with my nieces becoming grandmothers, but if they do, we will drop from a group of 45 to about 20. A small enough group to consider hosting in someone's home again, but it would be a big change.

The thought of nieces and nephews becoming grandparents blows me away. Heck, I am barely used to the idea myself! I went to a get together with a brother and his family and seeing his kids as parents really hit me that my siblings and I am getting older FAST!

I have football on right now just seeing them talk about the first pre-season game is exciting as a sign of what's to come.

DAYS TILL THANKSGIVING: 111
DAYS TILL NOVEMBER: 89
DAYS TILL THE BERS: 28

Happy August TGIF! Today folks we have 111 days remaining until Thanksgiving, 89 days to go until November, and 28 days left until The Bers. Our next milestone will be in 11 days. Pretty simple to see it will be the 100-Day Marker till Thanksgiving. It will be huge folks. Monumental? I hope so. But right now we move along in our Summer Sweatfest feeling pretty good about ourselves. Turkey fans we are doing a good job here in early August trying to enjoy the weather but I believe today will be more humid. Let’s see how it goes. But we start off our quiet 3-day weekend period in this thread after a very busy 4 days of topics that we have had. I hope you all have had a great week thus far and that your week continues today on Friday ending in the best way possible for all of you and your families. Thanks for being here this week as we finally saw the first football game on t.v. last night. Yes, it’s only pre-season but that’s what August is fittingly isn’t it? The preseason of The Bers. I hope your summer is also going well and that you are enjoying it as much as you can. I’m enjoying it even more now that the humidity has at least gotten more reasonable. Have a great Friday turkey fans. Enjoy it. Have a great August TGIF!

Sitting down in front of the TV last night on a Thursday watching Football - there were lots of post-Thanksgiving dinner vibes. And I might be crazy, but everything last night seemed so high definition. I'm not talking about just on my TV. The uniforms seemed so crisp and clean. Even the browns seemed "fancy", I have never liked their team colors they seem so dull and boring to me, but they seemed so sharp last night. Maybe it was just my perception, and the anticipation I had all day long of finally being able to see Football on TV again. The announcer said right before the opening kickoff that it had been 183 days since Football was on TV. The last time was the Super Bowl, which was the very last thing we had leftover from The Bers and Christmas Season. And I always HATE when the Super Bowl is over, because then I am at risk of getting PCB's / PFHB's (Did I say that right?)

But nothing now but good vibes and excitement moving forward! Have a great FRIDAY!

What I got to see of last night's preseason game was a lot of fun! I didn't get to watch the whole thing because our antenna (we have an OTA antenna for local channels) started garbling the broadcast about halfway through. I'm not sure if it was the signal from the station itself or if we just didn't have a clear view of the sky, but the entire second half of the game looked all glitchy and at times I couldn't even see what was going on. It frustrated me so much that I justified signing up for the NFL+ streaming service for this season. At $4.99 per month, it's worth it and it's less than a cup of coffee at Starbucks.

I loved seeing football back!

It was awesome to see it on t.v.!

DAYS TILL THANKSGIVING: 110
DAYS TILL NOVEMBER: 88
DAYS TILL THE BERS: 27

Happy August Weekend! Today folks we have 110 days remaining until Thanksgiving, 88 days to go until November, and 27 days left until The Bers. Our next milestone will be in 10 days. Not this weekend and not all of next week either thankfully. We get a break but when it comes it will be a big one the 100-Day Marker till Thanksgiving. Can you imagine ALL 3 of our counts in double digits? It will happen right after that (but not for too long after that one of them will be heading closer to SINGLE digits). Let me stop rushing ahead. We move along in our Summer Sweatfest feeling good and more comfortable certainly this week than the last several weeks. And we are here in day 2 of 3 in our quiet weekend period. It’s a great time to be here. And I love the month of August because it’s still fully summer but you have The Bers starting to slowly approach a little closer. Now turkey fans I hope your week has gone ok and that you’re doing well. It’s been a good week here but I’m thankful for the weekend now. Everyone needs a break eventually right? And the weekend is our definitely weekly break that many of us look forward to. Turkey fans enjoy your Saturday and keep gobbling all weekend long dreaming of The Bers. Have a great August Weekend!

I don't want to rush through August either, but hitting double digits in all 3 counts will be the perfect boost after the busy next few weeks!
