It's snowing again - uggh! :chatter

I couldn't park in my spot yesterday or today; I have too much ice under where my car rests and a bunch of ruts on the side road leading to it so I parked it at the side lot at work so the sand truck might actually sprinkle something on my spot when it happens by.

My car is in desperate need of a car wash, it's metalic black, but looks grey now from all the salt stains. I want to do the interior in the spring as well. I took good care of my car and it takes good care of me.

Only cost me $38.00 on Friday to replace the running light bulb. I have to bring it in one day in April for a "look-see"; I do that twice a year and change the oil with the good stuff. They haven't had to rotate my tires yet, but I had to replace the right tire last Fall when I ran over a carpenter's nail.

Since I'm in a bit of a reboot mode for our place, I picked up new shower curtains; the liner and the linen one will be replaced after Easter.

Picked up some folders to sort out my husband's care folders; 1 for O.T. & P.T. and the other for the HLIN and Personal Care team.

It felt good to sleep in my bed last night, but I had to get up for a bit during the night to tend to O'Malley's upchuck and then made sure he was okay before I went back to bed.

I'm glad I draped his old red blanket over the spare bed covers so he wouldn't make a mess of things and get cat hair everywhere. He spat up on it. Guess we better stop giving him yogurt on the lid or maybe it's just too warm in here and he had a fur ball stuck.

Can't stay on long, I have to wash down the kitchen and dining room walls with the new mop.

Guess the Spring cleaning bug has hit - won't last long, I loathe housework; it messes with my playtime on here. HaHa.

Keep a merry thought in your head and have a great Sunday! +f

Chatted with my dad today and it's official once I get my vacation approved; I'm off for two days in mid-April to Toronto for my brother's big birthday bash where I have to choose between 20 bands and 10 rooms; some overlaps and decisions.

There are 5 performers that I must hear, but not sure I'll make it to all of them since several are set to play at the same time. I may have to listen for a half an hour and move along.

My dad said that he and his friend might hit the casino on the way back; if so, I'll be driving my car there and back because I want to be able to head out after breakfast. I'm stopping at a clothing warehouse in Barrie on the way back to grab my husband a few pieces of clothing at great prices. Might find something a bit dressy for the wedding at the end of May so he doesn't have to have his camel hair suit coat altered. I'd rather he grow back into it.

My homemade chicken, veg and noodle soup was a hit. I set up some small containers for portions for him for a few days as I can't be home every day for lunch this week.

Back to the jazz, blues and swing fling - Alex is awesome; I mentioned her before - double lung transplant and so talented.

The Willows - kind of like the Andrews Sisters

John Finley showed up to perform around Father's Day at the local Golf Club - amazing; such a small guy - such a big sound.

And Big Rude Jake - the family goes way back with him.

I will have to stop by the silent movies lounge with live accompaniment - just 'cause MerryCarey would want me to.

Not sure who I'll hang with, but I still know people and I'm not shy. I'll likely wind up with my dad and his friend Ken, but not if we're interested in hearing different performers.

I have some mixed feelings about going, but I expect my husband will be strong enough by then to handle one night and 1.5 alone. I really need this kind of thing to recharge my inner batteries. I need to let myself off the guilt hook and ENJOY myself.

I'm sure I'll enjoy the humour of it and the guys on the keys are quite talented so the music will be good.

Back to busy work reality this week. Tomorrow will mark two weeks since I brought my husband home from the hospital; he's coming along. Hoping we won't need home care in another month or at least reduce the time we require the personal support care.

Had a weird dream that I was in some sort of game show with a bunch of doors to different prizes and atmospheres; the Christmas one was awesome - I can't even describe it all - like a movie set at a huge department store - maybe Macey's.

Stay jolly! +c

Morning MMC! Happy Last Week of March and Rudolph Day #3! Unreal isn't it? Both are unreal but for some reason March feels like it's going faster than any month I can remember since maybe October (which went way too fast to me). Not sure why that is. Anyway, my 2nd week in a row with 3 days of work and 4 days off. Gotta enjoy it cause after this I won't have much off till late June when I start taking some summer breaks. Have a great Monday and Rudolph Day #3!

Good Morning, Milestone Thresholders.
Yep.
We're on the doorstep once again. For the FIFTH time already this year, tomorrow is a MILESTONE DAY!

Days to the Season: 233
Days to Christmas Day: 275

The 1/4 Milestone marker to Christmas Day 2019.
It is indeed TOMORROW, Folks.
Yes. That soon.
Just check the chart.
(We sure got here quickly, didn't we?)

Beautiful here yesterday with plenty of sun, a high of about 70, no rain and only the gentlest of breezes.
Wonderful!
Today will see us reach 75, but with a chance of precipitation.
Our present thermometer reading is 56 degrees here in the capital city.

Have a Marvelous Monday, Guys!
I hope your week is off to a good start.

Merry Monday MMC!
It’s going to be cloudy today with chance of a shower, highs near 50. Rocky and I are going for a walk as soon as I finish my
cup of coffee. Back home afterward to start my daily chores. I might do some shopping later, we have a party Friday night and I want to look for a new dress. Dinner will be roasted chicken and vegetables. That’s about it for me. I hope everyone has a nice day and a great week ahead!!!

Happy Rudolph Day!! Typical work day for me and hopefully getting a workout in...I need to catch up on some laundry later too and maybe I will watch a Christmas movie or show. I am trying to keep up my tradition of watching a show or movie on the 25th of every month. Hope everyone has a great Monday!

Good Monday morning! The sun is out and the temperatures have dropped. It's like a crisp Winter morning out there. This is my last day off before going back to work tomorrow. It's always too short a time off. Not much to do today except some meal prep for the work week ahead. Have a great day everyone!

Good Monday morning and Happy Rudolph Day, Christmas friends!

Wow, what a beautiful Spring weekend we had! The pollen is awful, but everything else is aweSOME! All of the azaleas are in full bloom, as are the dogwoods.

I spent the weekend working on the pool and the golf cart, getting ready for warm weather. Next I have to change the battery and the oil in the mower.

I hope y'all have a great day! :D

Good evening friends and Happy Rudolph Day! I'm currently watching a Flintstone's Christmas on my Boomerang app to celebrate. Today is my last day off, but I only work tomorrow, then I'm off again until Friday. Work has attempted to call me in twice, but I've had stuff going on and it's been so busy there, I needed the time off. I also had my niece today, so I wouldn't had been able to do it anyway.

Yesterday was busy - DD had another baton competition and it was was successful, like usual. Her team took two seconds. They didn't award anyone first, which they technically got, but they awarded them second with a protection rule, which simply means this - after so many firsts are awarded, that bumps the girls into a higher bracket, when we got to another competition. The judges must have felt that they weren't strong enough yet to be bumped up, so they were actually doing the girls a favor. Every other competition they've went to this year, they've got firsts, so as the season continues, they obviously need to continue to work harder, but the protection rule is used to also "protect" them, hence the name. Not very many judges tend to use it, but in one of the individual events DD was in yesterday too, DD was given that, instead of being awarded top place for her event. In her individual events, she placed in everything, including two firsts, two thirds, and a fourth. She continues to improve, and with the one first she got yesterday, she earned a spot to move up into a harder bracket at the next competition she'll attend in a few weeks and she'll be able to start performing harder tricks as well. Very exciting.

As for the rest of the evening, I just plan on relaxing - DD has baton lessons and I work in the am. Hope you're all enjoying the day!
